I see...well done. You are a winner.
Also, I do believe this thread is in the "Off-topic discussion" bit. So although this is a gaming website like you clearly stated ... it is NOT in the gaming section. It is quite clearly in the off topic section. So gtfo.
Hey hey no need for that. i'm in the same situation, cept I'm drunk now. I'm too old for parties and still sore from my minor surgery, so yay for excuses, I mean vodka. Yay for vodka!

Um...woohoo?
The good news is that you have some desire to interact with your fellow man.
That puts you a good three steps ahead of many people.
[sup]myself included.[/sup]
I dare say that's better than having that desire, but not being able to interact properly.

Sounds like you'll get over it though, everyone gets rejected sometimes and you don't know if you were rejected you just feel that way. Next time you could ask up front if people have plans to go to a party on a holiday occasion and ask if you could join in, atleast if you get rejected in that case you'll know (which is in my oppinion better than the insecurity). If you do get rejected, maybe it's time to look for some different friends.

Now, before everyone tells me to get a life and to stop complaining about shit, let me elaborate...

Today is Halloween (for another 50 minutes), and everyone else is out having fun and getting really drunk at parties. Whilst I'm sat on my own on here.

I rang FIVE different people asking what they were doing. Then I decided to ask everyone on Facebook what they were doing. Nobody decided to give me an answer. So I ended up doing nothing. (I then asked again but still they said "DUNNO!")

I don't know if it's my fault or what, but I feel like an outcast.

Has this happened to anyone else?

(Also, I may be complaining, but for once I genuinely feel lost and confused at why nobody wants me to do go out with them.)
I'm stuck in my dorm room with the freaking swine flu, so yeah, kind of.

Anyway, I usually have some kind of tradition. For instance, until I went to college I would get together with my cousin and play through a horror game. Fatal Frame still haunts my dreams...

All my uni mates are off visiting friends and family, my family is in England, and another mate is off to a house party getting pissed. That leaves me, on my laptop, watching match of the day, with my cats rapidly accelerating round the living room.
Hehe i'm doing the exact same thing:p

I sorta did something today my friends came over in te afternoon then we binged on dominos ten they left at 9, then I played borderlands:)
I'm going to assume the cat is the pictured one. Just how insane is it, because one of mine wall jumped off the T.V and disapeared behind the plant pt, the other one has been stalking the telephone cable, and in between, they've been picking up dead leaves and branches and scittering across the room with them.
It's alot bigger than it is in te picture but it runs up and down the stairs and ten every now and then runs right up to me stares at me for 5secs then runs up and down the stairs.

Sorry. Angst got the better of me.

And yeah, vodka is pretty epic.

you keep that angst under control mister or... people will start calling you mean words and won't give you any of their vodka. But you really have no one to spend time getting hammered with? I feel so sorry for you. I at least have my soon-to-be fiance with me, but she can't handle her whisky and is passed out. :(

I do try. Well, no I don't have anyone at the moment ... recently got dumped so I haven't really felt like being a carer of anything lately and have just been drinking and playing some Xbox and trying to talk to people without them leaving me.

As for the vodka, yum!

Edit: Just re-read the bit about your soon to be fiancée ... nawwwww! :p

Don't worry.. You're not alone in this aspect..

I originally had plans to hang out with my friends, but it fell to shit, and everybody else had the same "I dunno." answer... It pisses me off, and goes against my spirit, but this year, I'm not doing shit.

Initiate sub_whine:

I spent 15 hours at work today, and now that I've come back home, everybody's gone out. And my feet really hurt. So we're basically in the same boat.

But Borderlands will always be my friend.

I'm also sitting alone on my laptop on Halloween while everyone else is out. But I actually have a good excuse. I was going to go out tonight, but I also went to see a play that, it turns out, a friend of mine was in. I didn't think it would be so long (despite being in the same play two years ago) and so I thought I'd be back by ten, instead I got home at around eleven o'clock. As a result, my housemates, who I'd said I was going to go partying with, had already left (which was fair enough) and so I was stuck on my own with only a few cans of Carling to keep me company (which I'm now drinking, because Carling is just great). My other housemates are either away this weekend, or at work, so I'm alone right now. Not that it bugs me or anything, but I was going to go out, fate simply conspired against me this time around.

Just be grateful you didn't spend New Years alone like I did.
You're never alone when you have vodka/whiskey/scotch at your side!

And no problems for the nawww! :)

I thought it was nice that your significant other was passed out. :L

Other..people...? Pshaw, what kind of a silly idea is that! Haha, "social interaction", what an old fashioned activity. Would you mind throwing some fire on the wood stove? I'm going out in the Model-T to be with "other people" and I want to be warm when I get home...Haha...other people...

I know where the OP is coming from. I live in a remote village with nothing special in it and all my friends live on the other side of the country. So it does get pretty lonely here.

Oh well, half term ends tomorrow.

Happy Halloween?
My wife is at her mom's and I have the apt. to myself tonight. Playing some Fallout 3: GOTY and watching the Habs Vs. the Leafs. (Ugh, Habs are wearing their ugly classic striped jersey from 1912...)

So, I'm alone on Halloween too, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I like your style. I skipped a party tonight, to have some alone time...and because I have work in the morning. But, definately enjoying the alone time.

One mate of mine wanted to go to a party not far from here, it would of been fun but then he didn't want to go in the end so now my plans are ruined.

Oh well, I'm just going to watch a movie and cry myself to sleep.

I fucking hate living in the middle of nowhere sometimes.

I just got back from taking my daughter trick or treating. She is sleeping now so we are going to drink beer and play cards.
