If a hardcore Christian is offended by, say, Heroes of Might and Magic 6, because you have to play as the forces of Hell in one of the campaigns, why is their offense any less legit than, say, someone being offended by the design of the Sorceress character in Dragon's Crown? If an animal rights activist is offended that you are required to hunt animals that aren't threatening you in Far Cry 3, why is their offense any less legitimate than someone claiming Uncharted is racist because it's a white guy killing brown people?
What people are offended by is personal, and while one can argue certain facts (you could, for example, point out that the Infernal forces in HOMM 6 aren't the same as the biblical hell demons) what people are offended by is their personal opinion, and thus no one has the right to determine whether what offends them is dumb or valid or whatever.
