Sitting here, preparing to move across the country, feeling friendless, talentless, directionless, and generally 10 years behind everyone else in terms of personal development...Suddenly this song started playing in my head:

I ran into the kitchen and quickly made some tea. Then I sat there looking out the window at the rain, drinking my tea, and listening to The Staunton Lick. Now everything doesn't seem so bad.

Do you have any songs, or games, or food, or anything else that makes you feel that everything's going to be all right? If so, post them here. If not, go here [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel?from=Main.SweetDreamsFuel] and be happy.

Chocolate, the cure for all the world's worries.

Also Modest Mouse somehow make any problem insignificant with just one song:

Thank you for reminding me how much I love spaced.

This song - For some reason I associate it with summer. And obviously also with go-carting Grandpas. How can that fail to make you smile?

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

This one nearly always manages to cheer me up. My sister showed it to me about two years ago, and I still think it's great :)

I usually listen to this, or some RHCP. Lots of pony songs stuck in my head as of late though.

This song right here every time:

It's a little slow and quieting but just so otherworldy. Makes me feel like I'm on a cloud.

Punisher: War Zone. This movie exists and I own a copy on DVD. This mere fact brings joy to my heart and is a sign that everything is going to be alright.

For some reason Doom Metal always cheers me up

I am aware this music should be really depressing, but I find it has quite the opposite effect on me
