I thought it looked pretty decent, but a little too teen horror.

Looks good enough to sit down and nom popcorn to, so I'm happy with it. XD
As long as the classic version of Evil Dead is still around to be watched I'm fine with this remake honestly, be nice to see what kinda of stuff they can do with newer methods in filming now as well!

Nope.
Not gonna watch it.
Remakes always fuck up the original, especially modern remakes of old horror films.
This will be the bastard child of evil deads brilliance, deformed by over the top special effects, crappy acting and poor storytelling.

I look forward to the release of this movie so I'll be proved right.

Main difference will be that we won't give a shit about the characters. But the trailer left me with an almost positive impression of the film. As long as they retain some of the humour of the original, it should be better than your average teen slasher flick.

I also noticed they've ramped up the gore to crazy levels! Worth watching for the shock factor. Though a film can't stand up on just gore alone.

It already fail for not having Bruce Campbell (and something tell me there won't be a chainsaw embeded and shotgun weilding hero at the end of the film).

Well from the look of it, it look like a generic horror film meaning it has moved away from being a humourous horror film and trying to be serious.

Of course the thing to remember is that the original film was memorable only for the Tree Rape scene. Of course we'll keep that!

I want to see this. I want to be scared by this and I want to be disgusted by this too. Also, you all make great points about the lack of Bruce and levity but this movie seems to contain tree-rape. TREE-RAPE (that is rape by a tree, not the rape of a tree) which was the most memorable part of the original for me. Bring on this movie! Bring it on I say! I would love for this kind of movie to be the 2010's or, 20-teens standard instead of the Found Footage movies!
