You can never have too much RAM. NEVER!
Technicly my motherboard supports 32gb ram, although it would only address 16 gb
The hardware may but it's usually the operating systems that cap the RAM usage. Professional versions and Server Operating systems usually allow for a lot of RAM but the home versions these days usually cap it at 16GB or 32GB.

I've reconsidered. There will never be enough RAM. :-D
Of course there will never be enough RAM. There is no downside to sticking as much RAM as you can into your computer, it can do nothing but improve it :p

I'm not sure it is the OS, because the iMacs can have up to 32gb ram and MacPros can have shitloads of it.

It seems from google the max is 32GB depending on if you have the 27 inch version and the rest are 16GB and below. Most professional versions allow for more ram since they sometimes require more to use more applications. But then again as I said you can never have enough ram :p

I'd love the 27inch iMac. It will be fantastic with Haswell.

That it would be but it has to be rather expensive. Though I'm one to talk with my $2k computer sitting right next to me and my 27 inch monitor XD

Edit: Lol it put my new text inside the invisible quotes. I wondered where my post went XD

I'd love to own a new Mac Pro, they look sexy, fast and have amazing graphics cards.

Is that the one that is a black cylinder? I don't particularly like that design to be honest. But then again I prefer towers but I can see how that smaller design could be appealing. I had to buy a new desk just to hold my computer since it was too big for my old desk :/

Yep, it looks the right size for my bag. I could buy one in my dreams and use my MacBook Pro as the display, keyboard and mouse!

Hmm I never thought of using a desktop to play on a laptop. I usually think the opposite and play my laptop on my monitors. Don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. It saves money too so I think it's a good idea :p

You can use any mac as a periphereral if you boot in target disk mode. That way you don't need to buy a monitor.

That would make sense but then again I haven't tried it before. May have to try it at some point for the sake of trying it :p

My laptop is alright, but my desktop is ancient, it is around 11-12 years old and doesn't have a dual core processor.

It has trouble playing Oblivion on relatively low settings.
Well that can't be nothing compared to this ancient thing I found stuffed away in my works storage room. Pretty much the oldest laptop I've ever seen and it was running windows 95. Surprised it still worked though XD

I doubt it could run Ages of Empires properly...

Also, saw Pacific Rim the other day, go see it now!
Take out the bottom panel and overclock it with liquid nitrogen :D
