In case you dont know Evill Genius was a stradegy game from 2004. It is alot like Dungeon Keeper only set in a 50s style James Bond parody! The game is great, hilarious and its still one of my favorite games. So i want to ask you: Do you remeber it? Is a seqoual been develop't? What are the warebouts of the developers?

One of the rare fun "base-building" games in the last few years :) sadly the dev closed shortly after evil genius was released, it's a good game but it wasn't much of a commercial success...

I install it once in a while, to make the DK3 wait seems shorter (hey, i can dream...)

Original developer (Elixir Studios) has been Purchased by Rebellion Developments. I've never heard any sign of an Evil Genius 2, although I would probably buy it on sight.

It was a fun little "James Bond universe" simulator. I have one gripe with it though. There were only two islands to build on and there was no "random map generator" to add lasting replay value.

Still, good memories.

I remember that it was a pretty terrible game that infuriated me to no end. Only two maps, nonsensical mechanics, tons of bugs... it was a great idea for a game, but just so poorly implemented that it made me cry.

I mean, come on. Secret agent sneaking around a perfectly legitimate hotel island resort shoots the desk clerk in cold blood, and the security guards attempt to subdue what appears to be a gun-toting lunatic. OBVIOUSLY THAT MEANS THE HOTEL A FRONT FOR A SUPERVILLAIN. FULL INVASION OF THE ISLAND! GO GO GO!

Crap like that just completely sucked the fun out of it.

Now, you want a good Dungeon Keeper style game? Go play Startopia.

I just pretend that everyone knows the organisation is evil, but they can't decide between activision evil or world ending evil. In any case, they don't care, you need to be brought down, makes it pretty fun.

Bugs wise, I just downloaded the patch, didn't encounter many after that.

OP: A second was never made, but i'd buy it in an instant just for a Random Map Generator. My main problem was that I never had enough room for my minions and the labyrinth that I wanted to make.

I remember that game! Very fun, especially the trap laying functions, but with very, very little replay value; and not just from the lack of a random map generator, but also perhaps from going through the same scenario over and over: work your way to getting a doomsday device with which to hold the world ransom.

Hopes are for a sequel from the new rights holders. And a good one. I want orange, so don't give me lemon-lime!

Evil Genius and the Age of Empires series are two of the only games I still play since I was a kid.

Fucking brilliant it is.

Replay value is kind of low, because you're stuck with the same islands in every game, but it's fun.
