I have to say that this is all surprising to me why they even got fired. What exactly did they do wrong again? The terms describing their termination seems to imply that the Infinity Ward founders were just doing all the wrong things with their employees? Stealing maybe? Perhaps going behind Activision's back in doing side-projects?

I'm not going to pretend that I know all the itty-bitty details of the case, but surely if it was something small Activision could at least pay the guys what they deserve, even if they can't develop for IW anymore? I mean, if it was a massive breach of contract, then I guess Activision are in the right, but it looks like Activision were sifting through every detail in the contract just to see if they could trip them up with something, so they didn't have to cough up. Anything at this point is pretty much speculation though, so I'll keep an eye on events as they unfold before I take a side.

While it's tempting to automatically side with the little guys here - and to be fair, you don't sue a multi-billion-dollar corporation unless you're pretty sure you have a case to stand on -

Note to Activision:

Do not fire people who just made a game about getting betrayed by their boss and then hunting him down in revenge.
Hahaha. Sweet, sweet irony bites you in the ass!

Well, whatever happens here, no one will ever buy another non-Infinity-Ward Call of Duty game from Activision. Talk about skipping shooting yourself in the foot and proceeding to shoot yourself in the balls instead.

Activision is now the new EA of the gaming industry, not something to be proud of mates.
