Today, i started my first official exams at school, let it be known that even when it comes to normal tests i get REALLY nervous. i was quite pumped up for it this morning, i had FIVE exams (Yep, five) today.

Anyway, the day started off quite good, but it was around my second exam when things started to go downhill, i felt as if i was having withdrawals, i could barely understand what i was looking at and what i was writing, i still don't know if i actually did good or not.

But the worst was the 4th, i had a headache, a cold, i couldn't understand anything the paper asked me to, i felt such sense of rage and aggression going on to the final one.

Anyway by the time i got back home i had a full-on panic attack, every thought of something that went wrong today rushed to my head, it was the most horrendous experience of my life. My mother was pretty concerned about me to say the least. the worst thing?i still have 5 more tomorrow, and 2 the next day and 2 after that.

Is this normal? i hope i'm not the only one out there.Could i get some tips perhaps? Thanks.

Exams are always a stressful time.

The best remedy I can suggest is that you treat yourself at the end.

No matter how bad you think you've done, buy yourself something you will enjoy.

Like beer!

Beer is good.

Unless you're underage, in which case, beer is bad.

Very bad.

Maybe talk to a counselor at school?

Exams are stressful, but there are normal levels of stress and then there are.. well, what you describe. I'm not a shrink, but I'm pretty sure that the symptoms you're describing don't fall under the "normal" heading.

Also, I know it's hard.. believe me, I do!.. but, once the exam is over, you have got to let it go. If you've done the best you can (or even if you haven't) there is nothing more you can do. It's in the hands of the teacher/professor now. Worrying won't change the grade you're going to receive.
