It's a manga and an anime series. I haven't seen it, but my friend said it was very weird.

its a crazy screwed up anime 25 official episodes and one banned one (to much sex violence and general funny stuff ironically called "going to far")

Yep, I've seen it from beginning to end. One word of warning... watch it subtitled, the English dubb is easily one worst I've ever seen. The English voice actresses doing Excel's voice makes me want to climb a clock tower (I say actresses because the original actress wasn't able to do all the episodes the voice was so hard on her.)

It is weird, very weird. It tends to parody various anime genres one per episode, but with the tenuous link forming an overarching storyline.

A final warning, if you are easily offended do NOT watch the last episode. It's called "Excel goes too far" and it lives up to the name.

i was introduced to excel by watching the last episode first and had no clue what was going on till i watched all the episodes and still got confused

Its OK. Cute sometimes, but often too weird for comfort.
