He quickly packed everything into a his bags and hoisted it up on his back. "Alright. Vergil Crawford - Northern Mountain Pass (Packed Up Campsite)

Vergil decided to give a quick run down of everything he had on him, and whatever he had, ticked it off a check list in his head.

Spare Clothing: Check
Katanas: Check
Retractable Wrist Blade: Check
Throwing Knives: Check
Bombs: 'A few, but I can always make more' Check
Assassin's Journal: Check

He then gave his verdict.

"I'm all set, let me just go gather up my tent, will be back shortly." Vergil then briefly left the group, and proceeded to disassemble his tent. He folded it up neatly, and placed it back into the bag it came in. Within in a minute, he was back with the group.

"All done."

"Definitely looks that way." Vergil remarked, as he surveyed the scene of where The Vessel's tent once existed.

"I'd say the wind must of knocked out the support poles, judging by the nature of the breaks in them; then another gust of wind must of blown it over the cliff. My guess is that it isn't going to be salvageable, should we find it, which judging by the wind direction, isn't going to be likely." He then summarised.

"What was that? Wasn't really paying attention, drifted off into my own little world there for a moment." Vergil remarked, as he brought himself back to the world.

"I would be willing to share with you Vessel, unless of course, you'd prefer someone else." He then added, making his proposal.

"Well, you are babbling, but only a little. It's okay Vessel, take your time, and think things through. You don't want to go saying things you'll regret." Vergil remarked, trying to not sound rude.

Scarlett Verneer - Northern Mountain Pass

Scarlett examined the string that held together the front of her tent and smiled to herself upon finding the strand of hair that nestled in between the knots intact. It was a crude but effective security device. If anyone had tried to untie the string and gain access to her tent then it would have fallen to the ground. Quickly packing her things together Scarlett folded down the tent and placed it in her newly acquired rucksack. This way it would be much easier to carry.

Scarlett returned to the group. ?Well I?m ready to go.?

She then noticed the Vessel was light on her equipment. ?What happened to you tent??

Lorel ? Northern Mountain Pass

Everyone began to move on and they caught up with the large group. The snow began to fall down faster and faster, and a heavy drift of snowy fog began to lie over the mountains but the group kept pushing on. Nashia and various Guardian?s helped the older folk move through without falling and injuring themselves. Lorel and Itsuka used some fire magic to keep themselves warm and it melted the snow before it made contact.

A lone Guardian noticed something to his far left and moved through the snow where he saw a black outline. It was slightly away from the group, so he pulled out his sword in case of anything. ?Hey? Why are you away from the group?? Suddenly the black outline ran at him and he noticed it was a man in heavy clothing waving a machete.

The Guardian side stepped as the person got to him and sliced them in their stomach as they passed. ?Bandits!? He yelled.

Suddenly many shadows began to appear with weapons drawn. ?Fuck?? The Guardian began to run towards the large group and everyone noticed him with his weapon drawn and black shadows coming at him. Though it was too late, as he noticed many shadows coming from the other side of the group.

All the guardians began to draw their weapons and get in conflict with them.
Lorel saw up ahead that something was wrong, but it didn?t take long for the bandits to appear around them. The first one ran at Lorel with a spear, but Lorel used his ice magic to conceal himself within the snow?s heavy fog. He then reappeared behind the bandit and used fire back on the back of his head lighting him on fire and burning to death. But more were coming.

Itsuka was able to take out a bit of bandits using her Red Magic with drained their life almost instantly.

Nana Gavech ? Magic Academy ? Upper District.

It had been two days since she learned of it all. The secrets of what was going on and it was killing her in the side. Inside, she was debating, who was good, and who was wrong. She had been in Upper District since birth, her family and friends live in Upper. And now Maro didn?t seem to look at her the same, like he feels like she will spill the beans.

What was she to do? Betray Upper District and go with the rebels? But what would become of her family? Would they be killed as Lorel?s was?

Amelia Foel ? Foel Estate - Upper District.

What am I going to do? She thought to herself as she moved around her personal library taking books off of shelves and putting them back on.

Lorel? His family has been doing this for a long time now? How many years? worth of Intel do they have?

?Marsugat.? She spoke and another woman walked up to her.

Marsugat was a short woman, who wore a blue cloak over her, her hair was dark purple and covered her eyes and her skin was tan. ?Yes, My lady??

?Send word out to the other Nobles. We have much to discuss.?

Vergil Crawford - Northern Mountain Pass

Vergil noticed that a group of bandits had come up behind them. Whilst part of them were being dealt with by the Guardians, the others were coming straight towards them. He immediately let go of The Vessel's arm, drew one of his katanas, and engaged some of the bandits.

The first one that he engaged was wielding a hammer. Vergil blocked the overhead strike from the hammer with the flat of his katana, and forcibly pushed the weapon out of his way. He then struck the bandit with the pommel of his katana, winding them, and then ended them with an upward strike from his blade.

Another came at him from behind, this time with twin sai knives. Vergil picked up the hammer from the dead bandit, and countered the bandits stab, by trapping the knives amongst his katana. With his other hand holding the hammer, he slammed it into the bandits ribs, likely cracking them in a instant. This lead to the bandit yelling in pain, Vergil used this opportunity to twist the sai out of their owners hands, after which he finished the bandit off with a another strike with the hammer, but this time in the chest. Afterwards, he dropped the hammer.

A third leapt from a hidden position, catching Vergil off guard. He managed to sidestep out of the way in time to avoid the axe being wielded by his opponent making contact with his skull. Vergil returned his katana to his side, thinking it best to engage the bandit at close range. He quickly swayed from side to side to avoid the bandits mindless swipes. Vergil managed to trigger his wrist blade, and blocked a slash aimed for his face with it. With his spare hand, he punched the bandit in the face, forcing them back, and lowering their axe. He used the opportunity to stick the wrist blade into the bandit's throat at the jugular vein, and threw him to the ground, rendering him unconscious.

"Subject rendered unconscious. Estimated natural revival time, four hours. Death due to bleed out from cranial haemorrhage, three hours."

Although it would be a good idea to see if there were others hiding up there by using a flash bomb, a small explosion generated from the device, may cause an avalanche. Vergil briefly engaged Shade's Vision and scanned the small cliff above him, luckily no one else was hiding there.

Halien Ye'ala - Northern Mountain Pass

Seeing the bandits attack, Halien put his book back into this rucksack. He glanced around, looking for a surprise attack from behind or above. No luck for the moment so he ran towards the group that was giving the others trouble. Pointing his hands straight out, he shot two jets of water out at the attackers. The magic took the bandits by surprise; for a typically weak spell, Halien had managed to make it fairly powerful, able to take a man off his feet anyway.

Whilst he had his back turned, Halien was grabbed by one of the bandits, a large man whose arms felt like they could crush boulders. Thinking on his feet, the young water mage summoned a large volume of water around the bandit's head. As the bandit struggled to breathe, he let go of Halien. Halien then called out:

"Somebody, freeze that water!"

Scarlett Verneer - Northern Mountain Pass

Scarlett dropped forward to the ground and used her rucksack as a shield against the oncoming attack. The bandit emerged through the snows heavy fog and slashed downwards with a curved sword. It cut through the layers of folded cloth with relative ease before hitting a tent pole that deflected the attack. Scarlett breathed a heavy sigh of relief that the sword had not gone any further. She could always patch up her tent later.

Jumping to her feet Scarlett reached out and unleashed a flurry of attacks with her knife, quickly dispatching the bandit and a friend who came to investigate. Scarlett looked around and activated her gift to check the battlefield. How many more where out there?

Lucian Grey ? The Streets of Ivore, Coach ? Ivore
Vincent ? The Streets of Ivore, Coach ? Ivore

The rhythmic thrumming of the metallic and wooden wheels clacking endlessly against the cold cobblestone road ran throughout the furnished frame of the lavish coach, each one of its horse driven strides interrupted by the occasional split road-stone or stray pothole sending an uncomfortable tremor up the passengers spines.

Within the mahogany boarded torso of the enclosed transport were two figures. One was garbed in a thick, fur cloak the hue of midnight with grey strands lining the corners of his hood. From beneath the folds of his attire the pommel of a great, black blade poked through with the tender embrace of a swordsman palm resting gently upon it. The strangers face was almost completely obscured, either by his silver hair or looming cowl; the only visible feature being the curled scowl lining his lips.

The other unknown assailant was matched in wrappings of night, a tunic draped softly over the man's shoulders accentuated by a long grey scarf that hung around his neck, both masking the pale, scar-worn flesh that lay beneath. A blackened leather belt coiled around his waist, lined with pouches and sheaths for an assortment of blades and 'doo-dads'. His pants fell halfway down his calf before being enclosed in white bandages that ran to his feet connecting with black combat sandals.

?From what it says, we'll have to head far North East? Chimed the second man, while flipping through a leather bound parcel of papers, his golden eye's scanning over each page with the speed of familiarity, before casting it aside atop the crumpled heap that was his coat. He tilted his head to greet the first figure with a smile, his hair falling to the base of his neck, neatly framing his scarred face.

Vincent - The Streets of Ivore, Coach - Ivore

Vincent nodded, his hood falling from his head to reveal bright white hair and piercing red eyes that had previously been hidden under the confines of his cloak. Despite his startling appearance, Vincent appeared to be little more than seventeen years of age. Vincent sat across from the second man, his sword placed across his lap and his hand on the pommel. Vincent's hands were covered by dark black gloves, and the rest of his body was covered with similar winter attire.

"What's our destination Lucian?" Vincent asked, his voice coming out strong and clear, yet at the same time peaceful and nonthreatening. It almost had a melodious tone to it. It wasn't often that he spoke to outsiders, but when he did it was hard for normal people to resist his requests.

At Vincent's side was a jet-black crossbow with a dark design. A small quiver of bolts sat beside it, while a pile of papers and books was bound together beneath both.

Vergil Crawford - Northern Mountain Pass

Vergil felt invigorated as The Vessel's song flowed through him. Any pain he once suffered, soon seemed to melt away. By the way she was playing, it seemed that The Vessel was waiting for the moment to hit them with something big.

"I'll buy you some time Vessel, so you can play the encore." He remarked to her as Vergil engaged the group of bandits that were approaching her. The three bandits soon changed their target to Vergil, and surrounded him.

The first attacked with a kukri. The bandit and Vergil traded blows, but eventually the bandit was slain with a stab to the heart. The second then made his move, and tried to knock Vergil over, but he quickly stepped back out of the way. Again the bandit attacked, this time striking with his kukri left and right, the blade passing between his hands with each strike. Vergil managed to stop the blade from moving long enough to allow him to roll over the bandit, and then finished him off with a stab in the back.

Without him realising it, the third bandit of the group had stabbed him in the arm, this caused Vergil to briefly yell, but it soon turned to laughter. The bandit was puzzled by this sudden change.

"What are you laughing at?" The bandit asked.
"You, did you really think that strike would cause me any significant pain. That wound barely hurts, if at all. Call it the benefit of having a good doctor." Vergil remarked as he acknowledged the benefit of The Vessel's song.

"Now then, time to finish you." Vergil added as he spun round, and delivered a kick to the bandit's legs, causing him to collapse. He then stood over his toppled opponent, a cruel smile appearing in his face.
"The world... will be better off without you." Vergil remarked as he plunged his katana into the bandit's chest with a downward strike, both his hands on the blade.

Vergil Crawford - Northern Mountain Pass

"I realise that now Vessel, I've just felt the pain in my arm, and, oh look, there's blood." Vergil remarked in an unusually okay manner, considering the situation.

"Hmm, I wonder if... yeah, if I used this scarf as a makeshift tourniquet, it should stem the flow of bleeding a bit, until some actual bandages can be applied. That's a good song you've got going by the way." Vergil added as he removed his scarf, and tied it above the wound with his other arm, and pulled the knot tight.

"Left arm is a little stiff, but still usable, although attacks from it maybe a little slower. Will have to resort to the wrist blade."
