Telnor -Gardens

Telnor went flying through the air, crashing against a wall with a resounding crunch. The last see thing he saw was a blinding light hit the ground and envelope the Dark God.Then everything went dark.

The Island In Between

Telnor lifted his head out of the sand as water lapped at his legs. Looking around he saw the same Island he had seen before. Bewildered he scrambled up and started to look around scarred that he had died again.

"Don't worry. You're aren't dying. You are merely unconscious," The Man sat in front of Telnor balancing a scale, "I just thought that this might be a good opportunity to talk. You see I gave you life again because it wasn't your time. There was also a need for you back in the physical world. But nothing can ever be given for free. As much as you are needed back in life, and there will be a need for you one day to protect the lives of many, a cost must be paid. I could claim your soul to be my servant but that seems wrong. I could just force you into the afterlife right now but that would end in disaster. So I'm left with one choice left. One life for yours. You kill one person who needs to die and I'll let you go. You will be free. Besides the person's life is over due anyways and that creates an imbalance. So when you go back you will not remember this conversation until the time comes. You will also know who you are to kill when the time is right," the Man stood up, and pushed Telnor backwards.

Telnor sat up quickly, gasping for air as people milled about in the aftermath of the Dark God's attack.

Lorel Ion ? Garden ? Dean?s Mansion - Tinsdal

Lorel looked at himself, he still had the markings on him, but now he knew he was in control. He didn?t feel any urges, he was no doubt the only one now in this body. He felt tired, like everything that had happened took a huge toll on him. Slowly he fell to the ground but then stopped and looked over at Velen who was helping him up. ?Thank you...? Lorel said.

Mizuki looked over at Vergil, and bowed once and then spoke. ?Thank you, without your help he may have killed me. Thank you so much.? She stated as she ran over to Lorel as did Itsuka. But when they arrived, Lorel was already out of it and Velen was moving him towards the mansion to a room that was still intact.

They had won.

"I'm alright Vessel, thanks for asking." Vergil replied as he hugged the Vessel.

"You know I was worried about you for a moment there; when you charged in to face Gemsi. Honestly, I don't know what happened; one moment, there was a flash of light, the next, Lorel is standing there, all purged of Gemsi's influence. I can't tell if your plan worked, or if there was some other presence involved." He later remarked, sounding confused about what happened just now.

"But the fact of the matter is, everyone is alive. Sure, there probably is a few people who have sustained a few injuries, but they can be mended; just like this mansion." Vergil commented on the current health of people. He then looked back at the Vessel's face.

"Anyway, are you alright?"

Whilst he awaited a response, Vergil conducted a scan of Lorel, still confused as to what happened. The results were... unusual to say the least.

"Hmm, very interesting. But for now, I'll keep this to myself." Vergil then smiled briefly.

"Why wouldn't I? After all, many hands make light work." Vergil then finished with a slight chuckle at the remark.

"With all that's being happening here over the past few days, there probably is a fair amount of mess to clean up as well. We should probably clear a safe area for us to work in first." He then motioned to all that debris and clutter that littered the gardens.

She knew things would be alright in the end. The group was a capable unit. As such Scarlett had intentionally missed the fight against the Dark God and it had probably been for the better too. Scarlett had been preoccupied with thoughts of her daughter and spent the most of the time just aimlessly wandering around the district. Not to mention the ringing in her ears that seemed to get worse with every step. Was her gift returning so soon? Scarlett could only hope so. She missed it.

Returning to the Dean?s mansion Scarlett snuck in and avoided any contact. She walked through the corridors and found the entrance to the garden. It seemed like a good place to hide for a while and be alone until she cleared her thoughts. That was until she walked into Vergil and Vessel.

?Oh? hey, so how did the big fight go??

Just before he and the Vessel was about to start helping some people, a familiar voice appeared out of nowhere.

"Oh hey Scarlett. The fight went rather well. Lorel has reverted back to his old self, seemingly devoid of any influence from Gemsi. Velen took him into the mansion to recover. I think Miss Mizuki and Itsuka followed them in as well. Go say hello if you want. Telnor, he got catapulted into a wall over there. As for us, we're quite alright." Vergil commented on the current situation, bringing Scarlett up to speed.

"We were just about to help some of the people, when you showed up." He further added. Curious as to her sudden disappearance, Vergil asked her a question.

"So where did you vanish off to yesterday?"

Scarlett looked at Vergil and nodded as he brought her up to speed around the attack on the Dark God. As she suspected it had all worked out well in the end. She thought about visiting Lorel but decided to wait and let him recover a bit from his ordeal. It seemed Telnor had the worst of it however.

?Me? I? I had to visit someone.?

Scarlett was evasive. And it showed.

"Hunh, thought I felt something familiar. What did the **** put you up to?" Vergil remarked, crossing his arms afterwards.

There was a moment of conflict within Scarlett. Should she tell? As a sigh escaped her lips she looked at Vergil and The Vessel. They demanded an answer. And the truth at that.

Scarlett took the hug and turned her head to Vergil. He seemed quietly reserved but looked to be feeling a little left out. She offered him a smile but it didn?t seem enough.

Telnor sat up, and shook his head. Groaning he rose to his feet and made his way to the rest of the group.

"Aw look at the women hugging," he elbowed Vergil in the ribs, "Guess that means we're out of luck huh? Anyways. It looks neither of our harebrained and bound to fail schemes were needed eh Vessel? Man good thing that Lorel showed up out of nowhere to save the day. Who'd have thunk it? Think he could use whatever he did to get of this headache and back pain? I mean flying into a wall hurts. So Pot Roast sound good?"

"Group hug it is then." Vergil remarked, a slight giggle coming out of his lips. He then turned to Telnor, a cold stare appeared on his face.

"As for you Telnor..." He then gave a slight push on Telnor's shoulder, sending him to the ground in a heap; laying on top of a broken table. A cruel smile then appeared on his face, replacing the calm one from earlier.

"...,that is for calling the Vessel's plan harebrained and bound to fail. In any case, were it not for your distraction, then she would of not been able to act."

He then approached Scarlett and Vessel from the front, and embraced the pair.

"Its not like she did anything other than a starring contest with Gemsi. Not like she would have DIED by his hand with her insane plan. There are times when I can sit by and let a person be delusional but when my friend's life is at stake then I'll act. Sure my attack was a distraction. But it had a better fucking chance of working then her's. So yeah. I'll call her plan harebrained and bound to fall. Because thats what it was. Its like she had a fucking death wish or something. And you know what. If thats the case fine. Next time I'll sit back and do nothing until afterward."

Telnor lifted himself from the rubble, dusted himself and started his way back to the mansion.

Telnor stopped and whipped around.

"Yes delusional. Delusional that you hold gods inside you. Delusional that you can beat one of the most powerful beings this world has ever seen with a fucking staring contest. Do you know what you hear Vessel? You hear voices. Fucking voices. They make you delusional. They make you hear things that you wouldn't usually. They make you throw your fucking life away," Telnor stepped close to Vessel, anger raging all across his face, "I've seen too many people I care about die. So yeah if calling you delusional makes you wake up from your childish fantasies and your fucking death wish. Then I'll call you delusional. Insane. Batshit stupid!"
