Well the trailer is pretty fucking freaky, but this has absolutely no reflection on the games itself. Seriously, why advertise your game in a way which gives no information about it? No new information anyway.

It's called a "teaser" for a reason...

Except the video says "annoucement trailer".

Which these days is a teaser.

Halo, Modern Warfare, Starcraft, Bioshock... I can keep going, all these series and more let out a first trailer with zero gameplay just to get hype going. It's simple marketing. Get people's expectations up and then deliver a brief gameplay vid for good measure.

I'm one of the biggest fans of this series on the site, iirc.

Uhh yup. I even cleared the 5 star general achievement.

Though this trailer was disappointing since to much focus on what we already know. I wanna see and know more about the new critter I caught a glimpse of.

This is an announcement trailer.Which is a trailer that is just made to tell the people that said game is coming out.A proper pre-retailer trailer would be all in-game footage.

That said im guess im old fashioned in the fact i expect something from the game in a gametrailer (preferably gameplay but id settle for a cutscene compilation) . And if the live action stuff is part of the game im worried

At first I thought it was a game trailer. So when I didn't see the "Monolith" logo showing up I cried a bit inside.

But than 10 seconds later I found out it was going to be a movie. And movies don't work mixed with videogames...

I'll just go back to F.E.A.R 1. It's the only fear that works for me.

Lots of trailers these days have live action sequences, just makes for a good trailer.
