I have a acquired a problem. I bought F.E.A.R for the Pc and got addicted to using the slow-mo feature.

I then finished it, and moved onto call of duty, this is were i got a problem.

I kept reaching for the slow-mo button so i could get perfect head shots so i could feel superior.

Anyone else get a problem like this?

I don't understand.
I fail to see what's so difficult to understand about it.

Anyway, I remember after finishing Half-Life 2 for the first time, I would catch myself hitting the g key (gravity gun) in other shooters, only to remember none of them had physics, let alone a physics gun.

Yeah the exact thing happened to me. I wanted slo-mo headshots in all of my FPSs after playing FEAR.

I tried playing through FEAR without using the slow mo unless I felt like admiring a head blow apart. (Which I felt like doing quite alot).

I used to press E quite alot in other games from excessive TF2 and when L4D came out I used to try and bash everything away in other games, but I'm used to switching to and from those now.

Well this is sorta the same, the reload button in COD4 is not the same as in TF2 on PS3. Now usually I hit square to reload, force of habit, but whenever I hit it in TF2, instead of a nice reload for me, I get to taunt which always sucks since it essentially pauses me for a few seconds.

I don't see how people can do this. I can play a game for days and then immediately go straight back to the another games controls just fine. Even switching between PS3 and Xbox

Normally so can I but I went from Prototype to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and I was screwed. The light attack and grab button for the 2 games are the exact opposite. Infact Marvel's is screwy all around. X button to grab? Everyone knows B is the universal grab button in those types of games.

Nope, I never had this issue, as I'm good at differentiating the games I'm playing.

Tis a silly thing though...

I got used to use the aim trigger for CoD4 then started playing Halo 3. I betrayed 3 teammates by sticking a warthog with a plasma while trying to aim and shoot the guy that's busy killing them. I got booted...

Lol this happens to me IN REAL LIFE. And I'm not the only one.

As for games, I'd say Max Payne spoiled me. Tried to do that with a couple of games.

I have a slightly different problem. You see, FEAR's hair-trigger who's-going-to-squeeze-the-trigger-first gameplay and practically huamn-level AI are so bleeding-edge perfect that they've ruined ME for nearly every other shooter on the market, other than Bioshock. And I mean the original FEAR and its mission packs. The sequel is actually pretty weak, if you ask me.

I got spoiled by FEAR when I went to go see paranormal activity and didn't get scared at all.

No game does this sort of thing as well as Fallout 3. I've lost count of how many times I tried to go into VATS in other games.

Also, after playing the first Bloodrayne for half an hour, using slo-mo most of the time, I actually felt dizzy in the real world.

When I played F.E.A.R, I didn't even realise that there was a slow-mo option until half-way through the game. Upon discovering it, I proceeded to ignore it, because anybody who can't make it through that game on hardest difficulty without needing a slow-mo feature is a weak sauce pansy. Quite possibly the kind of weak sauce pansy whom afterward posted on internet forums about how it was terrifying and they've never been scared like that ever.
