The much troubled Fable 2: Collectors edition has yet another snag today.
While it was reported just last week that the collectors edition, that was originally supposed to include a limited edition Hobbe figurine, bonus Halo themed, downloadable content, a making-of dvd and a set of tarot cards, it quickly became apparent that, due to a manufacturing error, the game would be shipping without the hobbe figurine and tarot cards. It was then revealed that some copies of the game were in fact missing the activation card for the downloadable content as well. Reducing the contents of Fable 2:Ce package to the following.
*Making of Dvd
*Game
*Manual
*Mildly impressive card board sheath
Now, according to Microsoft sources, future copies of Fable 2:Ce will, thanks to yet another manufacturing error, be shipping without the game disk and manual. Microsoft reps had this to say.
"Yeah... yeah we know. It's a big mistake on our part. But the cardboard box is really nice. You should watch the making-of dvd as well. It's really good."
Some Fable 2:Ce owners have been reporting issues with their mildly impressive cardboard sheath including, ripping, fraying, tearing and in rare cases, explosive decompression.
Those lucky enough to receive a copy of Fable 2: CE with the game disk and the downloadable content were rather suprised when it turned out, thanks to a manufacturing error, that their limited edition Halo DLC was actually limited edition Viva Pinata: Party animals DLC included by mistake.
"I don't know" said forum user 'HALOISTEHAWESOME117' as his mighty, good-side, hero drove around albion in a go kart with his faithful brightly coloured pinata dog trailing behind him "I mean it's all right I suppose. But I think master chief armour would have been better"
Microsoft has responded to these problems by offering a free copy of the xbox live arcade game 'UNO' to anyone with a defective or incomplete copy of Fable 2: CE.
Edit: As it turns out, due to a manufacturing error, UNO is currently unavailable on the xbox live servers. Microsoft reps responded to this by finding the nearest bottomless chasm and hurling themselves into it.
