Simple, if you have a lot of time, go with Fable 2. If you just have certain amount of time to spare, go with force unleashed. Fable 2 will likely consume your life for awhile.

Wait a month after the latter of the two come out; and read all the reviews that people pump out for both of them.

i'd go with fable 2. force unleashed could be epically incredible, but with all that shit it could also be and epic fail.

Fable 2 is supposed to have online multiplayer so.......
Online MP with persistent worlds, Like someone can come in and kill your wife and children so its going to be more interesting then just beating some asshole to death like in most other FPS's.
If you let them kill your family, you set how much damage they can do.

This is the single hardest question ever.

I'd personally go with fable 2 because of it introducing more Grey decisions and letting you affect the world, i'd consider that enough reason to get it over force unleashed, which looks good but will probably get old after the second playthrough.

Seriously you're gonna have to decide for yourself.

Spore.

What?
True.

I'm personally psyched up for Fable 2, so I will go it. The Force Unleashed will have to wait until the reviews.

that aside comes down to preference of game RPG or Action. or you could take Squids advice and buy one and trade up.
I second this advice. You shouldn't let any degree of Star Wars fanboyism deter you from Fable 2 if you prefer games like Black and White or the Elder Scrolls series over, say, Devil May Cry, and all the talk about how awesome the moral choice system is shouldn't affect you if you have a fantasy of Dante fighting with a Lightsaber.

That said, I have The Force Unleashed on preorder, so you know where my allegiance lies.

Wait til they are reviewed, and buy whichever on the strength of a review you trust.

Not to be rude, but Peter HAS been known to exaggerate, and previews and interviews with him aren't the best way to make a smart buying decision.

I'm getting fable 2 and a mate is getting force unleashed and so we can try them both and see if they are good.

I'd go with Fable 2, since once you get past the hype of having multiple physics engines, Force Unleashed doesn't seem so great.

... yes a game with 80% of the creatures will be Penis monsters, i don't know who would ever want to get that Trainwreck moving.
Penis Monsters: Enable/Disable.

If that option is there then it will be the greatest optional toggle that's ever appeared in any game in the history of everything. Back on topic though, neither game's got me particularly excited. Force unleashed definately looks like fun, but there's no way I'm actually splashing money out on it. Same goes for Fable 2, they just don't look particularly exciting to me.

Spore's really the only bump on the horizon that's looking particularly awesome for me, but if I had to pick between the two then I'd go for Fable. Molyneux does make great games, despite the fact that they never live up to his hype.

Rent both.

Pete has been known to promise the world and deliver Mexico, while Lucasarts is bunch of pretentious fuckwads that tend to fuck up any potential that a game could possibly have.

Either way, you lose.
Dude...it's Fable 2

WTF are you smoking? And why aren't you sharing?

Fable 2, no doubt about it. But then again, I loved Fable and I hate Star Wars with a passion. Meh.

1. Can anyone actually describe the confirmed thus far MP for TFU?

Because I can - all that has been confirmed this far, is a 2 player local dueling minigame on the Wii, what is basically a 'next-gen' (if I'm feeling generous) version of the multiplayer in the game tie-in of Episode 3. In the same interview the employee of LucasArts told the interviewer (it was a Gametrailers interview if anyone wants to look it up) that no online MP was planned for any of the consoles. That MAY have changed, but I haven't heard about it yet.

2. Peter Molyneux has learned his lesson - he never actually LIED about Fable 1, but what he did do was as soon as a concept was implemented, he raved about it - not realising that a few months later it would be cut out due to disk size issues.

3. If Fable 2 is not the best game on the Next-Gen consoles to date, then I wall actually, genuinely admit I am wrong on the internet - I think I may have only done that once before...
