As for discussion value, isn't Fable III the weakest of the Fable games? I only ever really liked the first. the world felt giant, and the boss battles were better.

Yes it is. It's got an awkward mess of a storyline that just feels messy and has no impact at all, and the gameplay is utterly unchanged from the second one.SaneAmongInsane said:

I also played the game wanting to be the bad guy, that would sacrifice the towns folk lives so that we may live. Make the tough decisions. The problem? I raised taxes and let the console run over night. I had so much money. Like I could of bought everything in the game and still I would have had so much money. I just finished downloading it a few moments ago! It seemed more fun the first time around. I haven't even finished the opening parts and I'm already bored... Oh well, it was free at least, so no money wasted.
Just letting people know in case if they simply made a mistake with a change of price or is just temporary.
Either way if you "buy" it now free, even if they made a mistake, you already bought it so I doubt they can take it away.

Fable 3 is free! Oh wow, to think I actually had to pay people to kick me in the nuts to feel the kind of pain that game causes, but not anymore, because IT'S FREE!
Oh boy, free?! Still too expensive for a game like that. Fable 1 was a masterpiece, and Fable 3 does not deserve to bear that name.

But yeah, worst of the series in my opinion, but it's interesting that they're putting it up for free at all.
(And "worst of the three" doesn't necessarily mean "terrible game", just... Not as worthy of my time as the rest of the games I own. I get the feeling I'll be playing it again soon though, because my fiance badgered me to start the series from scratch so he could watch...)
Fable 3 wasn't all that bad. It could have been better though if lionheart would just revert back to the Fable (1) magic system and preferably the old weapon system as well. Now if they could also have managed to get the trees growing in real time it would have been great.

I think people just go "What??, fable3??" because if Microsoft wanted to get people back on their side after the bad PR why not offer a title from the halo franchise, mass effect, something a little more iconic to Microsofts name to go

I like Fable too but the third was deff a sad outing and just suggests that they wern't gonna make money on that one anyway and surely wont get a nextgen hdremix, they may just aswell make it free and look good, in theory.
