It's been awhile since I've paid attention to The Escapist...which is blasphemy, I know.

But I recently bought, played, and beat Fable 3...and it was not what I expected at all.

I was hoping for a good blend of Fable 1 & Fable 2.

However, I got gameplay that, while good, made it so much harder to use the sword (which I was looking forward to using again after Fable 2). I ended up just using the gun because there were, at times, too many enemies to use the sword because they'd surround you and if you did anything they'd thwap you and chain-you to death.

Also, the jobs were depressing. Now, I loved the idea of what the three jobs were..but they all played the same. I was hoping for diversity. You see, the first job I did was Lute Hero, and I thought it was genius to make it like GH/RB, but then I did Pie Maker and I was confused.

My biggest issue was that of being the king. I wanted to have a BIT more leniency with my choices besides White, (that one specific shade of--) Grey, and Black. And besides that fact. I was hoping after being the most awesome and nice king ever they'd give me some sort of extra time after all of that to make some money to fill the treasury, but nope...Fifteen minutes after being crowned king, the game was over...(and everyone was dead)

Finally...Did anyone else find any sort of difficulty curve at all? I never had to use a potion...not once. I NEVER died (so I don't even know what happens when you die). I was so lost at what to say to this game...hell even the final area of the game (no spoils) was over in a few mere shots, I compare this to the ending of Fable 1...that fight was AWESOME.

Now, the positives I see for this game:

I, LOVE the Hero weapons...Hell I like ALL the weapons, they change n' shit...it's cool

I like the outfits and how you can combine any part of any of them to make unique styles, with awesome colors. (I have a suit I call the Sandman Suit)

Finally, this game is perfect in one way. You can buy nearly EVERY house...wait, no..BUILDING in the game. And when you think you've bought everything, oh hey...There's a whole new island you can buy? AWESOME!

NOW! Before I hit POST. Please know one thing. I think this game is still good. I still beat the living hell out of it twice (once supremely good, never getting married/having babies/adopting, the second time doing EVERYTHING IN THE GAME. All of the books, flowers, gnomes, weapons). I do believe they did what they thought was best, and when (not if) they make the 4th, I will still buy it.

But I would like to hear your thoughts on the game, and I welcome them even if they are drastically different to mine.

Soooo...Thoughts? Arguments? Approvals? Spaceships?

I agree. I haven't finished the game yet, but so far nothing has been challenging, which is a pity, since the combat system has been given a make-over. Furthermore, the real estate gimmick is nice, but after a while, you have a massive income from that alone. Ah well, I'll go back to playing it some more.

Yeah, after becoming Queen the game went downhill. I enjoyed the build up a lot more.

I am glad to see that I am not alone in how I feel.

Also, you make an ass ton from owning everything, but unless your 360 is running nonstop, it still won't make the ending awesome (unless you like empty kingdoms)

Also, Might I add...in the DLC there is a...uhm...Second dog?
