Fable 3: Reaver

I'm going to get to the point. Reaver annoys the crap out of me, and no matter how hard I try, as King I end up doing the opposite of what he says to do, despite the fact that I want to be evil this time around, I just dislike him so much that I have to be contrary.
So fellow escapists, have you ever experienced a situation like that in any other game, or perhaps agree with me on the Reaver issue?

Reaver was one of my pet hates about Fable II. Why you could never kill him or at least break his deal with the Dark Court really irked me.

Can't think of any other examples at the moment, I'll come back if I do.

I love Reaver but for the wrong reasons. I can't dislike reaver for the simple fact that he is voiced by Stephen Fry.

I do think that he has points with some of his ideas when you're king though.

Even as a good king I struggled to say no to his 1.25 million gold gain by making a whore-house! Let's face it, an orphanage IS good but 1.25 million gold = 1.25 million people saved

In fable 3 I hated Reaver, and was looking forward to killing him, it just pissed me off that he became one of your advisors, I wanted the prick executed... Not to mention he would have made a GREAT boss fight, since you know he's a hero and all...

I was looking forward to him being in Fable 3 so I could kill him, and they did a nice job of giving your character a lot of motivation to do it, then... you can't? What the hell!? He even become your adviser? Arg, I'm the king, off with his head already.

Oh hell yes! I was so pissed that as King I couldn't just kill Reaver for all he did, like trying to kill me!! I hate him so much.

And yet, he is a lovable hate. As in, we all love to hate him. I do think Fable would be lesser without him to hate.

Ok, if Reaver was an enemy of the hero of the second hero, the king, how did he get into such a high position in Fable 3?

He isn't really the enemy. He is just a dick but also the (because i can't remember the name) The Ranged Hero. Basically one of the essential people to beat the final boss.

He is also immortal, so that's why he is in Fable 3 looking the same age, if not younger (but that is due to makeup)

Yeah, I got that one a lot, which really weirded me out.

Anywho, I ended up hating Reaver with a passion, but I like him a smiget because Fry does such a good job being Reaver.
I only did what he wanted me to do once, and that was during my first playthrough when I was a million plus in debt and his opposition was the hippie.

I hate him. My friend (yes dragonsmasher, I'm looking at you) likes him because he's voiced by steven fry, which is a good thing dont get me wrong, but as a character I want him to die. He stole my kill in fable 2 and sold me out...twice and Im quite opposed to him shooting that guy who invented photos in fable 2 (he takes a picture of the hero and Rose at the beginning)

I actually quite liked Reaver in Fable 2...he was delightfully sarcastic, and had a lovable edge to him.
This time round, he's a bit more of an asshole. There's nothing redeeming about him. Other than Stephen Fry...*shivers at the thought of Stephen Fry's voice*
But yeah, last time I was constantly thinking, "Eeeeh, you cheeky monkey!" whereas this time, I keep on thinking, "Meh...it wouldn't be so bad if he just died", which sucks because he WAS a great character.

Seen as how we're on the topic of Fable 3, what the hell happened to Lady Grey?? She was an AWESOME character! She was the best looking character in the game (which is why I married her). If you married her in Fable 2, I suppose you'd have the issue of "Eww, she's my MOTHER!", in F3 but...yeah, great wife material. I was SO disappointed that she wasn't in it. Also, what's with Elise/Eliot? Elise wasn't so bad, but Eliot just annoys the hell out of me. Crappy love interests!
