I'm not much of a Fable fan, infact, I have never played one of the games, but I am a bit excited for fable 3, or at least the second half of it. So from what I here, the first half is you overthrowing the king and getting followers, and I guess that's pretty cool, but the second half is you as the new king, trying to do the promisis you made in the first half. You can choose to be a good boy, and do what you were gonna do, or be douche mcgee and be a jerk. I'm excited because you will have to make diffrent decisions in how you play such as, will you marry the smoking hot farm girl, or the ugly faced politition? Each choice you make slowly changes you, but not just like good or evil. If you use lots of guns to hunt badies down, you become a skinny good person, but if you hunt people down with your giant ax, you become a giant evil person. Your weapons also change depending on what you do. So if you kill everyone with your sword, it becomes "______'s sword of punishment." But if you only kill some people, it may become "______'s sword of hate." You can also sell your weapon, for that one person who wants that evil weapon without doing evil. Also, there may be some more grey places, such as instead of yelling at your run away daughter, you can be nice and lead here home, but not before stopping by the local bar and sneaking her in. And you can do all of this with just one button.

So I'm excited because of the idea of being able to do so much with just the push of a button. Granted, I don't know to much about the game, so if you want to say something that I will like of dislike, just tell me. So what do you think?

It sounds like they're barely expanding the series. I mean the first Fable had it so that even thing to did judged where the game went, at least with the quest you can take, how people see and respond to you, how you make money (It's painfully easy when evil. Slaughter a family, buy their home, rent it out, repeat.) and oddly how you respond to people. (Your emotes when evil involve pelvic thrust, the finger, evil laugh and other various unpleasant bodily noises.)But the game was short, and the 2nd one only seemed to have added on a dog and a way to make children.

With how short the games have been being a king on the third game hardly seems like a big upgrade from how the others are.

from what i've seen there's going to be some strategy (canonball against enemies) so it does seem to have variety, too bad it's only on 360...

i would have to agree the only good fable was the first one the second was far too easy and short, so not much to go by for hype in the 3rd instalment

I won't give the game a chance. No matter how much hype it gets, no matter what the press says about it in reviews and previews, no matter what other people say about it, no matter who is voice acting in it, no matter if it shows an image of Muhammad or not. If I'm watching a friend play it and it looks fun, even then I will not play it as my eyes must be turning against me. Fable 2 was by leaps and bounds the single most disappointing gaming experience for me ever. This after I played and enjoyed the first game.

Anything good said about Fable 3 will be lies lies lies

I'll check it out, and read reviews before I buy it. I was too much disappointed with the second one. I am, however, willing to give Mr. Moleyneux another chance.

So I will play Fable 3 because I am a fan of the series but I almost feel like their breaking away from the basis of the original and not in the best way. Not only that but Fable 2 had some major errors that nearly wrecked the game for some people (i.e. The Demon Door in Wraithmarsh that would glitch and leave you unable to continue your game) With so many errors in the second one I'm asking myself the question:

Are they really making this to make a new and exciting game for me to enjoy or are they pushing out the series as fast as they can so they walk home with a fat paycheck?

And sadly I know its the latter.

So I might frequent the gaming forums and see how many errors this game has before I even consider buying it fo realz.

I agree, the premise is enough to intrigue me, but I couldn't get into the last 2 Fables. I will approach this one with caution.

The second one was so pathetic. I might give the third a try but i dunno. Not on good terms with the fable series.

I'll let you know when I play the game.

For now I'm avoiding anything Peter Moleneux says. If your smart you'll do the same.

Fable 2 was one of my favorite games of all time, so Fable 3 is an automatic purchase. Some of the ideas seem weird, but nice to see a developer actually experiment with the medium in a deeper way.

That is the one heartbreaking truth I cannot deny

I thought the series was going to die after Fable 2 ended up being a major disappointment. That's just my opinion of course. I'm intrigued by Fable 3 though. I'll probably buy it and be disappointed again.

Curse you Peter Molyneux and your clever use of hype.

Wow I notice a pattern with every fable sequel it goes more into a sim and less of a rpg

The first fable was the only good Fable and the only Fable I will ever acknowledge
