- Don't keep the player in the dark. From Fable II, what did we learn? There was a bad man who wanted to build a spire. We know he had lost his family, but that doesn't explain why he feels its fine to kill off others' families, or what was his motivation in building the spire. Who was Theresa? Why did she want the spire. Any decision a major NPC made in Fable II just seems to happen in a vacuum. By the time the game ends, we know nothing more than we knew at the beginning. It makes the whole game feel meaningless.

Lucien wanted revenge on you for ruining his plans for the Spire, which gave infinite power which he was going to use to resurrect his family. Instead he was going to use it to make himself king of Albion. Theresa is your sister in Fable. She had enough power in the Will to sustain her life and survive a blow from the Sword of Aeons. She wanted the Spire to heighten her ability to see the future.

I actually quite liked the first game (raises flame shield) but I felt that there is a lot of room for improvement. Such as:

1- The ability to dual wield pistols or go gun/sword, that is fairly sweet

2- Better legendary weapons

3- Reaver, end of

4- unarmed combat, low damage with the advantage of being fast and having slow but amazingflourishes (throws, one handed neck lift/crush, etc, etc, etc)

5- the ability to climb through broken windows

6- For my charecter to not have some kind of force field around him that means nothing gets on his stupid face. If I shoot someone point blank, I want blood on my face.

7- A better crime system, I know that when people want to know who killed the stylist and ransacked her shop they will arrest the new demon in town, but I want to frame people.

8- More weapons (daggers, staves, steampunk chainsaw and sticks o' dynamite)

How about some actual depth?
Every thing I did felt very hollow in Fable 2. Hell, even raising a family, spending all my gold on them, and then slaughtering everyone (my family and everyone innocent civillian in sight didn't) make me the least excited.
Make magic and ranged suck less. I don't want to be a warrior EVERY SINGLE PLAYTHROUGH.

Safe to say that I'm not buying Fable 3 unless these things improve.

No Natal.

A bit more subtlety in moral choices - far too Black and White for my liking....
I see what you did there, very clever.

A less hideous engine, some of fable 2 looked god awful.

Oh goody we've entered the Industrial Revolution can't wait for Fable 4 the Civil War!/sarcarsm (rhyme unintended)
The Civil War was before the Industrial Revolution it wouldn't make much sense to have it in that order would it?

Maybe adding some, you know, challenge into it? Fable 2 was an absolute joke when it came to difficulty

For the multiplayer to not be god awful

As said before, more variety in the enemies

Have a final boss this time

Not to be on Natal (Offtopic: anyone have any idea how you're actually going to move forward without walking into your TV on Natal?)

There's two industrial revolutions..one that led to the invention of the Train (the second) and the most well known (the first) From the looks of the screen shot, Albion has undergone the first. Unless your speaking of a civil war before the American one...:/

Great ideas, but the one thing I would change is the people of Albion. I mean come on! Make them likable townsfolk, not stupid, ugly and lifeless.

...The American Civil War was in 1861. Which was the one I was referencing in my original post :/

I want...

- to have a strong female character who doesn't look like Arnold Schwarzenegger with long hair and lipstick.
- to not have people who are infatuated with crowd around my character with empty words of congratulations and hoorahs. holy fuck that shit was annoying...
- a better combat system. Bullet Time + Force Lightning * IT'S OVER 9000!!! an epic gameplay experience does not make (well... it might, but in Fable 2, it just made every fight pitifully easy).
- a morality system that allows more than the usual "good vs evil". The game world would be far more dynamic if the choices actually make you fucking think about the subsequent consequences. And basing purity off the food I eat? Get the fuck outta here...

---

That's all I can think of right now.

An actual final boss battle, and more character depth, and a better storyline, and a longer game, and maybe Theresa as an antagonist.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Hmmm. I have a few things I would like to say:

Plot
-Tie Fable 1 and 2 together.
-Terasa=Good intentions bad motives
-For Christ's sake, bring back Jack of Blades! I will sell my left testicle if they do this[sub][sub][sub]Actually I won't[/sub][/sub][/sub]
-Explain why your character will start poor (inevitable), espcially if he is the descendant of your painfully rich Fable 2 character.
-a little less non-linear. Don't reck it, but a little open endedness never killed anybody.

Character Mechanics
-Get rid of the fucking dog. This is an M rated game, it's time to start acting like it.
-Better clothing, armour, ect.
-Bring back plate mail! Fuck the setting, that stuff was awsome.
-Make it easier to gain/lose weight. I found that once you were fat, you were fat permanently.
-Make your characters appearance change more. Like the demon thing on the cover of Fable 2, I want to see that if I am 100% evil, 100% corrupt.

Weapons
-Even more augments
-Even more weapons
-Better legendary weapons? Maybe not all of them, but a good portion should be buffed.
-Bring back the old magic system. The way it works now, magic is way to over powered, and they dropped almost all the good spells.
-At the same time, don't nerf magic

Enemies
-More enemies, more often.
-More Balverines, I loved those basterds
-Maybe enemies that level up as you do? so as you get stronger they get stronger too?

Game World
-I like the degree of established towns, as well as the established areas. Maybe Oakfield could be made bigger? I don't know.
-What happened to Avo and Scorn? They were much better than "Light and Dark". Maybe bring them back as a cult?
-On the similar note, make the religions less black and white. The light side was always righteous, always loved, while the darkside was always evil, always hated. I could write that.
-Real time development. For example, they say if you commit crimes it brings down the economy. I want to see that: If I walk into bowerstone and rob everything from a store, the place goes otu of business, and the economy starts to go down. As crime rises and rises, the city should start to look more and more like a slum, with citizens acting accordingly.
-More Demon Doors!. Preferably more challenging Demon doors too. I did like the little areas behind them though.
-Less comic relief. It doesn't have to be all gritty fantasy horror, but come on, it was bording rediculous, especialy in the crucible.
-More side quests.

That is just a short list I may or may not expand on.
