WARNING MASSIVE FUCKING SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN HALFWAY THROUGH FABLE 3 THEN I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT READ THIS

I've gotten to the big annoying get 6.5 million gold to save your 6.5 million citizens and then I realized something. If I got every fucking dumbass peasent to donate 1 measly gold for their insured saftey I would have no problem beating back the darkness and saving everyone. So why can't I? I mean they all know the darkness is coming, they have a reason for it. This is just one fucking massive plothole.

Because the choices are bullshit. I'd go into more detail, but then I'd be accused of copying/following Yahtzee.

Any game with a moral choice bar of Good/Evil is inherently flawed. It'd be more awesome if there were a reputation meter with each group.

For example, you buy a whole load of peasants houses out from under them and then sell them at 3 times the price; your reputation with that village would drop.

But if you open up businesses and build new housing, reputation would rise.

Saving people, that person and those close to them get a big rise, their enemies a drop. See where I'm going?

That'd make it much more interesting.

But then you wouldn't have anything to do in the second half of the game. But I do agree with Yahtzee that there is no reason you shouldn't be able to just tell everyone that they need to buckle under for a while or face complete genocide. I also really disliked how the good/evil meter was set up. Is having higher taxes so everyone doesn't die really evil? Is letting everyone enjoy themselves for a year just to have them die really good? The game almost hints at some interesting questions of morality and then glosses right over them. So much potential just like the last game.

It's a role playing game. You either go good all the way or you go evil all the way. And until developers realize there are more choices that lightvsdark, I'm afraid these games are gonna stick with those methods.

That ending was insanely stupid. First of all, I got to a point where there was still like 100 days left, and I had a good amount of money, and was intending to make as much off properties. But then boom, 100 days disappeared. Why wouldn't they make the last bunch of choices on the last day, or like the last week or month. Don't BS me by making me think I have time to do my own thing. Atleast tell me.

And then the whole "public view" or whatever. Is there a way to raise money without being Hitler ? Do I turn the factory into an orphanage and lose money, or do I turn it into a freaking slave labor shop and gain money (and angering my friend who knows that the darkness is coming). Or choosing to ban alcohol or not. Can't I just institute a decent tax plan ?

And then after the attack. Wouldn't people realize that the reason I raised taxes and chose the "kill all puppies to make $200,000" option over my "give everyone a puppy and spend $500,000" option. Maybe I was raising it to defend the kingdom. I understand them being upset over it BEFORE the attack. But after they should use some knowledge.

It's not like it matters though. The ONLY difference I've noticed after completing the story is that my wife is missing, it says she's still alive and has a present for me. But I can't find her. But I notice nothing else different.

How does an NPC and a RPG not have at least one GP?!?!
because they mostly have silver and copper and not gold.

I have another nitpick...

WHY CAN'T I KILL GODDAMN REAVER?

He tried to kill me, shot the nice photo-maker guy and enslaved half the city. I want to kill him.

What a waste of Stephen Fry on such a shitty, unlikeable, one-dimensional character.

Shouldn't the evil option be allow the genocide? The good option would be to take the hate of the people but save them in the end.

Having not played yet, I have a question. Does the 100-day skip always happen on the same day? Yahtzee said it was like 150 days left, you mentioned 100 days left - did you round, or is it actually different for everyone?

Because, knowing that, wouldn't it be possible to use the "leave the game on overnight" method to raise money at the start of the 365 days?

Just curious.

It's still better than Fable 2's final decision.

Do you want to have no change to the game world but get a thank you note? Do you want less gold than you probably have already made? Or do you want your dog, that guy who finds chests and helps out in combat despite being in his mid-20s by the end of the game to be resurrected?

I had about 5 Million gold by the time i overthrew my brother and by the time I fought the darkness I had about 12 million, so all the choices never even mattered really which was really dumb.
