Fable reviews Oblivion. (Yes, i am aware that this is something like the 6000th review of ES4.)

Sorry, BRAH. But i dont believe you could be more off the mark.

For starters, morrowind "rapped" your face. (and yes, i spelled it the way it was intended to sound.) I have friends who claim its better than Oblivion

Secondly, the story isnt unoriginal. You cant knock it down to just those three things. So much happens in between, and so much goes on outside of the main story, it is foolish to say its unoriginal.

Graphics rock. They eat babies, they're so rockin.
To be honest Oblivion is one of my favorite games.

But to be on the fair side, i will give you this. Aside from Patrick Stewart, and Shawn Bean, The voice acting was atrocious. Well, not that the voices done were bad, but like the voice "team" was literally like three people, and voices would change from topic to topic.

It had its problems, but as a gamer, it satisfied me like Ron Jeremy might for a nun. You know... Deep and against God.

That was my original thought as well to the post above the one above mine.
Instead I found a "argument" -->(depending on who you ask) about the words flow and whatever else was the problem, and hugging pandas. All in all, a good topic.
Personally I think the "argument" could have been avoided had iron ninja put "out of curiosity" in front of his first post. Not saying that he meant it in a snarky way, just saying that those three words along with "in my opinion" seem to diffuse any negative behavior (I guess Fable could have also reacted differently).

Anyways, the review was good. Nothing I haven't heard before other than finding the sneaking hard. I guess I'm just a sneaky bastard =P
Personally I didn't like Morrowind all that much either, but that was mainly cause I spent an hour running about in some fields killing strange jellyfish-like creatures without the faintest idea what I was doing. Oddly enough, it is the opposite of that which made Oblivion a tad poor in my opinion <--(there it is) The game was just too simple and easy.

Well that was a fun rant. Enjoy =D

Edit: To the poster above me. Just cause you have friend that claims Morrowind is better than Oblivion, that does not make it so... please elaborate next time. Not to sound snarky or anything.

Oblivion was ok. Plot was ok. Combat was ok. You are definitely right about magic though, it kind of sucked for the entire game. Sneaking was way too easy though, I had a guy wearing full plate who would run around and back stab people like it was nobody's business(just take off your shoes until you get a high enough skill where it no longer matters). They even dumbed down enchanting in Oblivion to the point where all you really needed to do was enchant your weapon with a proc because everything else was worthless.

Personally I think Oblivion could have been way better if they had stayed more true to the series and kept it more like Morrowind. That's not to say that Morrowind was free of flaws, just that I think it is better than Oblivion.

In morrowind I remember using azura's star to create constant effect summons. I had every summon possible to create a constant effect item in the game permanently following me in a posse. It was sweet.

You said that you were trying to pretend that morrowind never happened? I take it you never have seen or played any of the other elder scroll games besides Morrorwind and Oblivion. Oblivion is way different from any of the other titles in the series.

Look at these sweet pics!

Well, you stated it like i had comitted some sort of crime. "Everyone else likes it, so why dont you?" Anyway, i didnt enjoy it because it just flat out didnt interest me. The whole time i was playing it i felt weird. The whole atmosphere just felt... off to me. Its always dark and i could never tell what was happening. The whole story felt odd and seemed to flow weird. Sorry.
If you played the Xbox version, yes, it was obscenely dark, the PC version had much better lighting effects.

If I'm allowed to have an opinion, I say Morrowind is better and you're insane to think otherwise. It IS an opinion to think someone else's opinion is dumb.

On the other hand, I liked the review overall.

I don't care what anyone says. Oblivion was like honey-dipped crack to me. Bugs and shoddy voice overs BE DAMNED. I still whip that game out when I'm down and blue. So many hours...so many lost hours...

Oblivion was fun... until it wasn't. I eventually got tired of it and I haven't been able to pick it up since... but when it was good, it was good, not mediocre, good.
