Not entirely. Look beyond what is being printed. Yes, hooray for him, he hates dealing with the DRM.
However by saying that the PC industry needs the DRM in order to 'inspire confidence' in the publishers he's completely ignoring the real reason of the lackluster sales which are leading to less games being made. Rather than taking his 15 minutes on his public soapbox and calling out the industry out on its crappy practices, he's instead saying that the industry needs DRM so that they can be confident to just keep throwing more crap at us. He's ignoring just how much DRM drives people to piracy in order to get a game that works.
He hates typing in a CD Key, but getting a game that only works three times is ok?
Dubya Tee Eff?
By the way, let's show the world how inept PC sales are counted vs console game sales.
PC Sales - # of units moved in physical stores.
Console Sales - Units moved in physical stores and online sales.
Seems to be a bit off there. Basically they're being retarded by only counting sales in stores, and not counting online sales from websites where you are mailed a copy of the game, or can do direct to download sales. Yes, it's amazingly idiotic. Congratulations, it's 2008, not 1992. Upgrade your sales figures to represent all kinds of sales, and you will find out that you've made more money than you thought.
