OD on drugs fails often, my friend tried to OD herself and failed. Since I hate pain I'd go for the 'running a car till you get carbon monoxide poisoning' approach if I was gonna kill myself.

I get sick and tired of hearing about all these "poor teenagers", living in developed nations where the hardest thing that they have to endure up with is the kids teasing them at school, or their parents' divorce, or their girlfriend/boyfriend dumps them...

You get sick of it, but were you ever mercilessly teased at school? I was. About my name (My name is Adelaide. It's a capital city in Australia), about my dad's death, about my freckles. Believe me, you get pretty depressed after hearing "Your dad killed himself 'cause you're so ugly, Sydney!" I wouldn't write them off just yet.

Yes I'm, a callous jerk, but suicide is one of those things I have very strong opinions about. It's every person's right to end their life when and how they choose, so I don't see it as our place to "save" such people. Some people just can't hack it in real life, and we shouldn't force life on them. And when we live in a world where natural selection doesn't exist, medicine is promoting longer lifespans and higher birth survival rates, we face a very real problem of overpopulation... So if someone wants to quit the game, I'll neither help nor hinder them, it's their choice to make.

While I strongly disagree to a point, I found this to be very truthful, and raises an interesting point. This is something I might have to look into / something I might have to mull over...

But, the be all and end all of it is, suicide is illegal. It gets reported to police, police have to stop it. Thats the way it stays until it gets changed.
Just realised the inanity of the last sentence...

But overall, its nice to hear a happy and nice feel-good story about something, instead of the usual depressing thread being posted now-a-days.

If I was going to top myself, I'd probably ring my boyfriend beforehand, but he'd talk me out of it.
Anyway, I can't let my nieces and nephews grow up without an auntie, I've got too much to live for

Yea, I was surprised no one else got it. Other then that, I am impressed at the story of someone actually calling the police instead of doing nothing. I have my own opinions on suicide, but I know that they are just that, opinions, so I won't preach.
