As many people and companies have realized, Facebook is a very popular community website. As popularity grew, many people have been found to spend large quantities of time on the site surfing and posting. What is your opinion of Facebook. Is it a useful tool in your life to reconnect or is it the harbinger of socializations end?

I find it pretty useful. However, it would be more useful if the chat feature weren't so faulty. It also has become less fun since my whole immediate and extended family is on it now.

I used to be really really addicted but I finally got over it. These days I only check it about 7 times a day.

I find it useful for finding people you haven't seen in years, to organise events, to get group assignments done, and to contact friends and such, but I find it too public. You can comment on practically anything you do, from talking to someone else, to posting a video, which I don't like.

It's also filled with pointless crap that just wastes everyone's time, pointless threads and stupid groups. Me and my friends in University have nicknamed it 'Failbook' because people are more likely to fail when they have assignments due and are too busy chatting on Facebook. I know people who just don't really log off, and check the site like five or six times a day, possibly more.

An addiction for tools. Sorry.
I see the point in it I just really couldn't be bothered talking to people I don't see anymore, as nine times out of ten I don't see them for a good reason. Also studying is enough of a time vampire as it is.

I keep it tabbed when on the internet most of the time, and I use it for sending messages. Its useful because my friends never answer their fucking phones.
