Im writing this post as ive just got to the bit in Bioshock where you
finaly meet andrew ryan.
what got me is ive been playing this for quite a while (well maybe 2 days) and its not the freaking end! by the looks of things ive got a good few more levels to get through till i end this damn thing =/ it was at this point i turned off the game and decided to get some cake :D
so not all bad...

also if anyone remembers red faction 2 when u meet sopot and burn his ass in a rocket.. then surpwise! turns out your teammates apart from 1 just did it so they can be da baddies.

im not sure if my problem was.. its unexpected? or just.. cheap..ish..

You might want to put your stuff in Spoiler boxes, dude. You just ruined the story for anyone walking by your post.

The best fake ending was Hitman:BM. Suberbly cinematic.

For bioshock, I knew it wasn't the ending, because of the oh so obvious bathysphere level selections.

Perhaps you should consider enjoying the ride, rather than holding out for the ending?

I like false endings, because they usually add more gameplay time. That's about it really.

I'm gonna say I like them if they're done right. If it has a decent twist and surprise you, it's good. If it just adds a new villain randomly with no foreshadowing and just seems to exist to lengthen the game play, I don't like it.

They aren't used often enough to be considered annoying. On the contrary, if the game is good I rather enjoy them.

Also, if you wanted BioShock to end so badly why were you playing it in the first place?

xD don't worry about it, welcome to the escapist. Mentioning almost anything plot related (especially in 'newer' games will generally get someone moaning about spoilers)

Bioshock is a good game tho, a little creepy for my tastes (get creeped out easily) but playing through it. it's an interesting system with the plasmids.

Just to be on the safe side put it in a spoiler box, like this one:

what got me is ive been playing this for quite a while (well maybe 2 days) and its not the freaking end! by the looks of things ive got a good few more levels to get through till i end this damn thing =/ it was at this point i turned off the game and decided to get some cake :D
so not all bad...

If you're not sure how to do it just click the quote button and take a look at what I've put in. I guess Necro has a point about not needing loads of spoiler boxes, but using one for the first post seems a good thing.

Not really fake but rather an early bad ending. In Persona 4 there is a bad, normal and true ending. The thing that gets me is that the bad ending is based on a single conversation and comes out of no where. I would have never know if I hadn't read the game had multiple endings. Plus I went from a 66 hour band ending to a 79 hour true ending. That's a lot of content to miss on a single conversation.

Its not a fake ending. Dude in reality you have 20 minutes of gameplay left. Unfortunatly its not the mozart of endings. Great boss battle though.

Well, I thought that GTA IV's ending should have been when you
kill Dimitri, but that's just me. Did anyone here actually choose to work with him?

If you did the "chose to work with him" ending, you get the "better" end, in my opinion.

Not better as in more uplifting, in fact it's a terrible downer in all ways, but it's still the correct way for the game to end.
