I'd have to second "repetively tapping buttons in Pokemon helps catch Pokemon". I did that so many times when I got the game I still catch myself doing that a lot.

I heard from one of my friends that there was a pokemon that you could catch and it would delete your save file.

I'm not sure what exactly it would do, as I was always too scared to actually catch it, but I've heard that catching missingno would screw up your game somehow..

It made the screen all wierd. The effects went away when I released it though.

Catching 'M' was awesome though (I think that's what it was called). I taught it Fly, Sky Attack and Surf and when I levelled it up, it evolved into Kangaskan. My mates were dazzled by the awesomeness of a flying Kangaskan xD.

I also used that trick to finally catch myself a Chansey because I was never going to catch it in the bloody Safari Park.

I'm pretty sad that I tried all of this stuff out. I had a lot of free time as a kid.

Couldn't you have just caught it in Cerulean Cave where its appearance rate is so much higher and you can catch it normally?

But then it would be too high a level. I caught a level 132 one and rare candied it to level 1 so I could train it to be better than if I caught it at a higher level... so yeah, I had way too much time on my hands .
