Well after operation achorage and the pitt I was a little disapointed. The only thing that made it worth it was the new equipment. And I was just wandering if you take out the level 30 cap, new weapons and armour. Would it really be worth the 800 microsoft points???

I haven't bought either (hell, I don't even have a level 20 character yet), but I'm just wondering, what didn't you like about either?
I heard anchorage was crap (Other than chinese stealth armor and gauss rifle/cannon thingy), but The Pitt was supposed to be much better in terms of the quests and enemies(and the autoAxe is hawt).

I think I'll go look up stuff on broken steel right now, as well.

Well according to Bethesda, it will continue on the main quest, adding in another area in the same way the Pitt did, and it will also add new side quests to the wasteland, so yeah I think it'll be worth it just for the quests, though it does depend on how crazy you are about Fallout 3.

Well the pitt was a definate improvment on achorage, but both just wasent as long or just exciting enouht compared to some of oblivian's dlc. Like I loved the new house's and shivering isles. I still play it too today mabe even more than fallout 3

I am hoping broken steel will be good. it seems like it is going to add a lot to fix problems people had with the main quest of the game. I think I will get it, though I still need to get the other two.

well if we hope the same thing mate. The pitt is definatly better than achorage through quests but achorage has better armour.

You're asking if you remove all the content of the pack, will it be worth paying for?

Of course it wouldn't... but that's a ridiculous question...

By that logic, we all technically have Broken Steel already downloaded and installed.

Besides, that's kind of irrelevant isn't it? The point is, it DOES come with weapons, armour and level 30 cap. So this isn't going to be an issue.

I will admit, the mage tower in oblivion was definitely worth it, though largely due to the non mage-guild affiliated enchanting podium (Xbox 360 version = /)

Shivering Isles was the expansion though, right (I plyaed like, 200 hours of oblivion over the first 3 months it was out, then just about stopped)? :S Fallout 3 could still have on of those coming in the future.

And it seems like you should've titled this thread Will Broken Steel have better quests? Which, guessing by the increased level cap, and what I read about additional side quests/unmarked ones on top of the 4-5 main quest additional quests, it should be a much needed improvement from the others.

Your not getting the point I was just pretty much asking if the quests would be any good, and not sort of boring like the last 2.

Well, I definitely guarantee they'll be better...

But that's a personal opinion deal isn't it?

I personally enjoyed both OA and The Pitt. I agree there were some areas for improvement, but I still got plenty of playtime and entertainment out of the both of them.

Well, I think the fact that "Broken Steel" will end up rewriting part of the end of FO3 is...'interesting.' As disappointed as I was with the ending (I had Fawkes in my Party, and that radiation-proof jerkoff flatout refused to startup Project Purity for me. Thanks for letting me die, you big green fatty!), the ending still left me with a feeling of completion that I was comfortable with. I want to see how they alter the ending (if it just assumes that Sarah Lyons went into the chamber, or if they were able to resusitate you after your big dose of rads).

I think that Fallout 3 is an acquired taste. It's not an FPS because of it's heavy dialogue and RPG elements, but it isn't a true-to-the-paper RPG in all aspects either. Broken Steel looks like it will be a worthwhile purchase, and I'm looking forward to it. What I'd really like to see from Bethesda is "House Purchases" like from Oblivion. I happily spent about 30 dollars buying up all the DLC properties, and I mean ALL of them. Knights of the Nine and Mehrune's Razor were great quest additions, and I'd be a fool to forget about Shivering Isles. Fallout's definitely got the DLC Quests in a good place (Anchorage was fun and an escape from the "Wasteland" norm, the Pitt was exciting and offered different moral outcomes, and Broken Steel looks to do the same and expand the level system... and hopefully add some cool new toys like the previous 2.)

I'd like to see some property acquisition in Canterbury Commons, and a mini-base built out of an old Sat-Com Relay...something like Frostcrag Spire for oblivion (A "Junk Garden" where it would replenish various salvage pieces and broken guns for repair/crafting, a workbench that would give a +10 to your repair skill when you stood by it, etc.)

But, I digress... I think Broken Steel will definitely be worth it, but only if you're a fan of the pre-DLC Fallout. Nobody bought the DLC for Oblivion if they didn't like the original game... and if you did, then I'm sorry, but what did you learn? :p

ohh one more thing, whats the point in new weapons, armour and levels if your gona keep killing pretty much the same four all the time: super mutants, raiders, gouls and the random robot or two.

Still worth it... I'm getting XBL and the whole thing just for that (and CTA4 LaD but I could just buy that)
And I'll start up some online FPS but I'm starting to doubt that choice because when I played Halo2 online people were very unfriendly.

i reckon
you sent lyons in, or decided to use the virus, then you will be mutated instead of killed, partners will be killed and you get turned into a ghoul. i reckon lyons will also get turned into a ghoul. and then you would have to go to that docter that does reconstructive facial surgery, but you would from then on be immune to radiation.

They are bringing in more badguys with Broken Steel.
