Having just made some fils on Fallout 3, in which all I have done is make obscure and contradicting decisions. (i.e. On one of them, I destroyed Megaton (for 1000 caps) then decided I like Tenpenny's coat, so guess who died, then I remembered something about Burkes hat looking like Yahtzee's, so natrully he had to go. I should add, that I didn't get any info from Moriaty, so I have now nothing to do, except side quests, killing caravan merchants, and exploring.) But on my main I'm a saint, doing all the right things, with the exception of stealing almost everything not pinned down.

But I was wondering, what decisions have you made in Fallout 3, that were rash, and unhelpful?(I made another, were I told Lucas about Mr Burke, and when he confronted him, Burke killed Lucas, I killed Burke, and got some good stuff)

Although don't let my example, fool you into thinking I mean just Fallout 3. Please, give examples from any non-linear games were you have hindered yourself for a laugh.

I didn't get any info from Moriaty, so I have now nothing to do,
Head straight for GNR, or even further, Rivet City. I sidequested my way to Rivet City on my first playthrough before heading to GNR and I skipped the GNR portion of the main quest.

Actually, you can head straight for Vault 112, and the main quest will restart from there.

On the main topic: I tried to complete the main storyline in Rivet City and the Mesmetron quest at the same time. Let me tell you, fleeing a pack of guards towards the Jefferson Memorial is a lot more fun than walking there. :)

In Fallout 3 I got my hands on the slaver gun and me, Jericho and Charon where just slaving up the whole wasteland.
Now, there is a problem with the slave-ing gun it either enslaves them, makes them bat-shit crazy or make their head blow up and i have blown up a lot of quest, important and named npc's and i am currently hated and attacked on site by everyone.

It is so awesome being a colossal dick.

I gave the Soil Stradivarius to Agatha, along with the Sheet Music so I could get Blackhawk as a reward. Then I blew her head into a bunch of bloody chunks with it.

My character in Fallout 3 has 100 speech skill points, so I try to "talk my way out" of everything possible.

There was this one specific case that I convinced that russian-like pimp, Dukov (I think), into giving me his key. After that I blew his head off in order to loose karma and become neutral again so I could get an extra 30 points with the Impartial Mediator perk.

All of it was fun, but seemed unnecessarily sadistic. I guess being neutral is making me play in ways I usually wouldn't if I just followed my intuition.

Nevertheless...am I off topic?

My first go through (hopefully not my only go through considering I never replay games) I'm trying to keep my Karma really high. Its super hard to not steal and kill everything though. Especially that USA USA prick in Megaton

My first way through, I blew up Megaton and was generally an ass aside from doing the good ending to every side quest, it made for some funny radio broadcasts:
"Now more reports on that vault kid who is evil incarnate. Good job 101, you save a child's life!"
