I'm surprised no one has mentioned paradise falls...I'd take that place over, have those girls and an army of slavers. Also, what about Rockopolis!? get me some auto axes and start that place up again.
I do like megaton though...maybe I'd take over paradise falls and then take all their supplies and fortifications and women over and build an addition to megaton...maybe make it a little less cratery too.

The Citidel- Maybe, but the ammo is twice as expenive and I'd be kicked out for pressing the robots speech check all day.

Vault- I an the overseer! Obey me! or you could just beat 5 armed guards with a B.B gun and open the "secret" exit using the "secret" password that is in fact on my copse and eaily picked up!

The top of the Washington Monument. Protected by the BoS and has a commanding view of the city. Plus, plenty of Super Mutants to kill when I get bored.
