I used the search button and couldn't find any topics related to this so sorry if there actually is one but i couldnt find it.

Now ive put 20 hours into the game as it is and im lvl 13 atm and only on chapter 2 of the story, i looked in the book and im planning ahead on the level 20 perk i want to pick up and ive lowered it to between 2 out of 4.
Now im asking which would people prefer to pick up, the explorer perk, unlocking all locations on the map (btw does that mean i can fast travel to all of the locations as soon as i get the perk?)
or Grim Reapers Sprint, where if i kill an enemy in vats then upon exit all the action points are restored, which would help alot in fights.
But i cant decide which one to pick up when i do turn level 20.
Any suggestions or your own discussions on perk choices?

I completed the game at level 15 lol I'm going to go back and get up to 20 though.

Stats are more important than perks because, well, they're perks just something extra to help.

I don't reccommend choosing Grim Sprint because you can just use Jet or wait a second or two to get ap back for a headshot.

I'm actually choosing Grim Reaper's Sprint due to my reliance on VATS. I'd like to pick Explorer but I'm curious as to how it would affect the xbox's "find 100 locations" achievement. If I pick the perk, will I not be able to get the achievement? Or would I get it instantly?

I got the explorer perk and got the achievement when I found 100 areas, as they show up as unexplored areas on the map, so I'd say it doesn't affect it. Though its not too useful, I used it mainly for that and to find a few choice areas that my friends told me about; Deathclaw Sanctuary and such areas with good weapons hidden inside. Sorta wish I got grim reaper's sprint, it would make the combat flow better.

Grim Reaper's Sprint is excellent. I seemingly never run out of AP, and don't have to resort to chems.

So with the explorer perk when it reveals the locations you cant just quick travel to those locations?

Right, you have to walk over to it first, which makes it all the more useless.

edit: It makes me wish they put a co-ordinate system in place, then I could just print off a location list. Oh well...I've memorized the location of every important place on the map so it doesn't matter too much at this point.

Ah that seems pointless, would have been better if you could quick travel to the locations, still interested in all those locations i wont be able to find easily without the perk though, such a hard choice.

save and make 2 files before 20, 1 goes to a good perk the other to explorer and use it as a map character.

what level do you get bloody kill at?
I think level 5 or 6, because I'm almost level 7 and it's one of the most recent ones I got.

Take Solar Powered...so worth it.
S...solar powered? You realize that only works outside from the hours of about 7-7 right? pick something that will always work, such as GRS or Ninja as Jakub mentioned. Although I suppose if you already had Night Person it would supplement it nicely; not nicely enough, though, to influence my decision on "get something that will always work".

I wouldn'y take any thing from the level 20 set of perks, there doesn't seem to be anything good.
I would pick something goos from an earlier level, like....

Bloody mess or mysterious stranger, something that would help me not something like + strength in sunlight.

I went with three Daddy's Boy perks; man, those stimpacks get amazing with a high Medicine skill and I suspect that Rad-Away should be equally mighty now, plus the free Science skill boosts make hacking more available. I also went with the one that grants bonus skill points when you level up (Fast Learner?) when it first became available and that's paid off well. Another handy one was Scrounger, making it easier to find ammo.

I didn't go with the bonus APs because I've got a huge chem stockpile and I don't mind shooting "from the hip" while APs regenerate.

I got scrounger just a while ago. Sweet Three Dog do you get way more ammo. And it seems to really like giving you a lot of a rarer ammo too. The last few crates I've had with missiles in them have had nine in each of them.

That may explain why that Merc was carrying so many nukes for his Fat Man... good thing he didn't need them anymore after his shotgun facial. :)
