I'm just going to assume that they'll take the base Bethesda created with Fallout 3, and expand upon it. So as long as there aren't any screw-ups, it should be a great deal better than F3.

I didn't like Fallout 3 that much, so I'm probably not gonna like Fallout New Vegas very much either.
So to me, it doesn't matter which one's better.

Fallout: Va was a let down, it was to restricted, and the fallout universe dosent work within a platformer. its also hard to set a post apocalyptic story before the apocalypse. not to mention the grandious in game advertising. have a snaple why dont you.

at least thats why i think fo3 is better.

You people amaze me. It was JUST ANNOUNCED, we know nothing about it. Overhyped means that it is lesser than the hype. Better then Fallout 3 would imply we know something about it.

For fucks sake people.

Hopefully, they'll work with each other perfectly. With Bethesda's engine, marketing company and money, onlong with the old Black Isle's crew's wit, scripting and generally awesomeness, it'd rock.

And, all the F1 and F2 fanboys will hopefully stick a sock in it.
Put a sock on it, maybe. If you get my drift.

But I liked Fallout 2 for choice. With 6 intelligence my character spoke exactly like I do.
I liked Fallout 3 for gameplay. It was mindless fun, shooting up Megaton.

I assume NV is a combo of both, to a degree.

I keep hearing that the reason Bethesda made Fallout 3 nothing like the originals, is because if they did anything else it would have been their downfall. If bethesda is still in charge but is just saying Obsidian is working on Fallout NV, then what the hell is gonna stop Obsidian from doing the same thing? They don't want to go out of business do they?

How about Elder scrolls 5 beats out all of them. I think Fallout Vegas will be a let down (and i base this on nothing, except the fact that it will be way over hyped)
What if it turns out to be the new SMB?

You can't call a game over hyped if it's not even released yet, that's just being a moron.
From the critical success that Fallout 3 brought about it's only natural that the next game will become overhyped and what game has actually lived up to the hype none... So i'm going to assume it's safe to say this game will become overhyped and some people will be let down..

And come on lets not resort to name calling what are we 12?

So what you're saying is that it's impossible to live up to hype?
Actually that sounds about right
