Skyrim engine, and a larger world. Maybe something in eastern Europe, although where this would fit in the mythos I know not.

I've only played New Vegas, so perhaps I'm missing something important from the previous games that could have swayed me away from the following opinion. (But I generally don't play older games if I enter a series on a sequel, because the quality lowering is distracting.)

I think I would like the opportunity to go through time a bit. Not time travel (necessarily), but after you do something huge, I would like the chance to fast-forward several years and see what good or bad your decisions had done. New Vegas ended sort of abruptly for me, after helping Yes Man and talking my way out of both final bosses (yay Speech 100). I would have much rather liked it to have its "ending", but then let me play the second half of the game in the new world I was responsible for creating. I want to know more than the few sentences the epilogue gave me to go on -- I want to explore my independent New Vegas, I want to see what's left of the NCR and Legion, and I want to make more decisions from my new position of power. Of course, I don't expect them to do New Vegas Extended Edition, so replace those group and location names with the new ones in Fallout 4, but same concept.

I just want more places to explore. I think they should keep it like NV though, with the iron sights, and in the west. Maybe set it earlier, like between FO2 and FO3.

I know I will get flamed...

Perhaps a Hardcore mode that removes Fast Travel....and replaces it with sorta car...ala Highwayman...would be nifty

Memorable characters (Randall Clark being a badass from HH)
Memorable Vaults (Along the lines of the horror of 87 really scary govt stuff)
A very large map
Ownable Housing (I can not find a decent home in NV worth a damn)

I want more people on the map....or perhaps more seeing of a different style of living per people...if its going to be a war....make it that way...

I'd like it to go to another country. Europe is a good idea, imagine powered armored knights of the round table going up against radioactive vikings.

If you set it in China you'd have awesome communist propaganda to poke fun at, as opposed to poking fun of capitalist advertising which was done in the past few Fall out games. Be refreshing.

Less bitching from "true" fans would be a nice start but of course that's just a nicedream. Even if Fallout 4 heralds the second coming people will still cry out in anguish as they contemplate how perfect the previous instalments were.

I'd like to see some new interesting locations, but I don't think it's likely going to happen. There's a lot more left to be milked out of the the USA setting and I think devs would be scared of losing that "something" that makes Fallout tick. Still, here's hoping...

no matter how it turns out ppl are still gonna tear it apart just as they did for NV and 3. I personally loved 3 and idk how you cant consider it part of the series. its the same as 3 with a few minor tweaks but it is essentially the same mechanics and such. oh well, heaters gonna hate i guess.

My one hope and dream for Fallout 4 is for it to be developed by Obsidian. Fallout 3 was equal parts short, easy, and unengaging.
Yes we all remember how well Obsidian did with New Vegas......

I think they might have trouble thinking up dangerous animals for England.
Fallout : Australia.

Everything fucking kills you here. Having said that, I wouldn't want to go up against a radioactive badger.

alright, I'm a big follower if the fallout series, since the first one.
but i enjoy Bethesda's version as well. (i don't consider new vegas a game in the fallout series, because i hated it so much)

But is anyone else excited for fallout 4? i know it will run on the same engine that skyrim is being developed on. but even then, if the developers completely leave that stupid barren piece of shit Mojave wasteland and get back to big city's, a well developed story. plus a chance at bug-less game play. well it's something to be excited about. what do you guys think?

umm, doesn't Fallout New Vegas count as fallout 4? What do you mean? the Mojave wasteland was epically better then the capital wastelands. Also while it would be nice I hope they don't make a new one so soon. if they did it would only turn out for the worst. Good games need a lot of development and if they were to throw a new fallout every few years they would degrade and become a cash cow. Bethesda isnt like that....yet.

Go to a different Country, but have it under American Control because of the war(Forgot what the factions were in the game)

Bring Iron sights back in the game.

And for the love of God, if you have special Weapons at least give them a little bit of attention. I hate shooting the laser pistol that acts like a nuke but doesn't have any special design.

Give me a place to stay that's not semi ridiculous to get. I don't have money.

Better idea. Make a Mad Max Game. TWO MEN ENTER. ONE MAN LEAVES!!

I'd play that. Even if it's essentially the same as Borderlands.

The commonwealth. That's all I wanna see is the common wealth. That being said, I am not ready for Fallout 4. These past year or so has been nothing but one disappointing sequel after another. (I like Fallout New Vegas though, despite its million bugs.)

I want a keys to the city style mode, but with saving. The saves will be seperate from your main story mode saves. This will be for whenever you get tired of getting beat up in the main mode and want to blow some shit up with mini nukes. This will improve the game overall, while still being separate from the main game mode.

Sorry, you didn't like New Vegas.

As far as Fallout 4, obviously it will be built on the new Skyrim engine, all the "RPG" calculations should be on what happens when your bullet hits the enemy and not "if" it hits them, a FPS where you can shoot pixel perfect and still miss feels like S#^t.

Other than better graphics, less clunky controls and let's say 20x more locations than FO3 and NV combined, I can't think of anything else that really needs to be addressed that I couldn't look passed it.

Please not I'm one of the 5 people in the world whose copies of both games worked excellently with maybe 3 crashes in all 100+ hours of combined play. Its a RADEON with a AMD, I've always suspected that was the reason.
