I honestly don't know what to think about these. Some look fine but a few look VERY last gen.
The power armor in particular looks like plastic and the bobblehead shot could be taken right from fallout 3 and I feel nobody would know better. Either way I still can't wait to play it!

What do you guys think?

The power armour looks that way because it's brand new, unlike the ones we've always seen which have been salvaged.

Anyway, graphics aren't important, especially for Fallout 4. What I'm liking about those screenshots is the amount of colour.

I love the way it looks. Everything is visible. In previous games everything looked similar. It was all dirty, the models were amateurish and terribly textured. But now it's clean. I don't need to strain my eyes to see what's in front of me anymore. And I don't need to look at any ugly, dirty textures and low poly models that look like they're from early 2000's. Clean aesthetics is just good game design. Just look at that Pip-Boy for example. Look at how easy on the eyes everything about it is.

This is how a last-gen Fallout looks like

I didn't look at too many because I didn't want to spoil the game for myself, but I echo the previous posters' sentiments; I am digging the improved graphics and aesthetics. You can tell objects apart with significantly more ease.

Nope, I don't see it.
It looks good, much, much better than the previous generation Fallout.
The bobblehead is okay, and the power armour... well, and explanation has already been presented.

In fact, with showing me this, I love the graphics even more now.
Ten days for me left, heh.

I think it looks fine. It's obviously no where near the best graphics but I wasn't expecting it to be.
Fallout 3 was hideous and I still played that.

Ain't exactly great lookin' innit? I mean it ain't bad, but it's not exactly a looker either. Not gonna be turnin many heads with looks like those so better hope it's either real smart, real funny, or a bit of both cuz looks alone ain't winning it any pageants.

On a more serious note it's an open world game, there always have to be sacrifices made in the name of scale. Even Witcher 3, which looks amazing, still has it's warts if you look too closely every here or there. Doesn't help that Bethesda's basically using a modified version of the same game engine that powered Morrowind back in 2002 either.

Otherwise whatever. At least it's not just various shades of brown/green anymore, nice to see a bit of colour in those screenshots.

Looks okay. Certainly not the kind of game you'd call people into the room to gape in astonishment at, but serviceable.

I'm less concerned with having cutting edge graphics in this instance. I just hope that they would focus on loading more grids to reduce the amount of objects popping into view right in front of my face. I don't really see the point of having incredible graphics if you are only going to get that full detail within a relatively small area.

In an open world game like this I would rather have a smooth transition while traveling and higher level of detail in the distance than have only my immediate surroundings look nice.

I also don't really really see how Power armor looks 'plastic', painted sure, but it doesn't really look like plastic to me.

Meh looks fine to me, about as much as would expect for a Fallout game. If anything I'm happy that they added in more color so these pics are a plus in my book.

It's fine. Bethesda games are always kind of average graphically when they come out and it never hurts them.

Yeah, the graphics look functional and really that's the absolute best thing for people that want quality games. Money to spend on everything that ISN'T graphics is money that's far better spent. I'll take functional graphics over high end ones any day.

I wouldn't worry, there will be a high res texture pack released for the game. The "low res" is just for the consoles.

I still think the game looks rather plasticy if that makes any sense. Its something Ive not been able to get past yet. Thats not going to stop me from playing it, or enjoying it, or modding it, or making mods for it but it does make me think Im going to be installing a lot of texture and ENB presets

I dont say that as a graphics whore either. I think the base look of fallout 3 still holds up fine to this day. It looks like its supposed to but I cant say the same thing about those screenshots...it just looks like plastic to me. I dunno its hard to explain.

Rumor has it that there won't be any 'load doors' in this game. That is, the interiors of buildings and settlements won't be in separately loaded zones, and you won't have to transition through a load door to go in and out of them.

So that's a decent improvement over past Beth games, at least.

It looks a lot nicer than New Vegas and Fallout 3, which is enough for me.
Really like the colour too, the other games were rather boring in that regard.
