Should a sequel/prequel to Fallout 3 be made? It is said that Bethesda are already working on Fallout 4 but personally i don't think they should. I can't see them improving on Fallout 3; such a masterful game filled to the meniscus with weapons characters and humorous dialogue, and I really don't want them to make a game that is going to let the series down.

What do you think?

yes, Fallout 4 should be made. People from Bethesda are genious and will think of something.

EDIT: Oh yes, It would be better to make TES V

In short:
Yes
In long:
Yes because I really enjoyed fallout 3 and think with a little bit of tweak it could be amazing, still elder scrolls V first. Take the game developing one step at a time.

Yes, it should be made but not by Bethesda. It should go back to the original style or have more stuff to do, rather than just a bunch of side quests. Also, not every quest should be an achievement.

One of the only things i do not like about Bethesda's games is the fact that the main story is pretty short. sure theres tons of side quests but i dont play a game for side quests i play a game for a good story which Fallout/Elder Scrolls do have but its just too short IMO. i still do most of the side quests for the hell of it and i also plan to buy the DLCS but i still belive that a longer main story would be much better than loads of side quests.

Multiplayer of some sort wouldnt be bad either :p

So all in all i would say yes to a new Fallout/Elder Scrolls just with a longer main story.

After the last xkcd [http://xkcd.com/569/] comic, my brains been stuck thinking about the rumoured Fallout MMO...

alt text: Eventually a UN is set up. And then a lone rebel runs down the line of flags in front of it, runs back to his base, and gets a kajillion points.

Never thought I'd say this, but can you imagine setting up a character (backed by a bunch of friends), and causing some political espionage?

Weird thought, I guess.

Elder Scrolls 5 first, then set Fallout 4 somewhere intresting
Yes. Though not New York. it's a nice city and all, but it gets way over used. Maybe Fallout: Hawaii. Something off the beaten path, as long as it was good quality.

And on oblivion 5, add some stuff from Fallout, some stuff from ES:4, both good games that could be used to make the Elder Scrolls 5 even better.

I really enjoyed Fallout 3 a lot more than Oblivion. Morrowind was the best IMO. But if I had to decide between a new Fallout or a new Elder Scrolls, I'd have to say Fallout. And if they could implement a sweet multiplayer (a la Fable II or hopefully something even better) it would be the ultimate game.

And no more weak 2-hour DLC. Make it worth my while Bethesda. And for god sakes there is more to Pittsburgh than steel mills and a bridge.

IMO Fallout has shown us the way. What we need now is a game like fallout that grabs major issues by the short and curlies and gives them a solid tweaking.

Fallout 3 did it to some extent with drug usage, slavery, genocide (megaton anyone?), life discrimination (I mean against ghouls and such as opposed to racial discrimination) the list goes on.

There was a piece on there needing to be more torture in games when there was a WOW quest involving torture. I agree with this.

There need to be more of the bigger evils represented in games with major game consquences for making that decision.

i.e. never being able to shake the reputation as being someone who has used torture/rape/murder to get information. Being run out of towns, being unable to trade, ambushed by npcs and executed etc

This is my opinion. I expect to be flamed for it.

I'm not sure if they should or shouldn't if they just realeased lots of Dlc instead for fallout 3 building on the game i think that would be just as good until they make Elder Scrolls V which better be good.

Good god no... They've already soiled down the Fallout franchise with "Fallout" 3, done enough damange, no need to make it worse.
