Fallout 4 should be built using the lessons learned from Fallout 3 - needs a longer main story, less moral black and whiteness, more customized weapons and FFS a better dialogue/voice acting group.

Yeah, I fucking mean it.
Congratulations. Go join the No Mutants Allowed losers and their constant whining about the death of Interplay.

Yeah, I fucking mean it.

if it's going to be made like "Fallout" 3, then no
but if they actually know what they're doing, then hell ya!

Am I the only one too disappointed in Fallout 3 to want another one? I could never get into the story. I don't know why. It seemed too simple to me. I kept waiting for a twist, a challenge, something. Instead...I don't know. It felt like a FPS masquerading as an RPG. I know some people will hate me for saying this, but I think I'm ready to let the series die. And I enjoyed Fallout 2 (never played the original).

I think Bethesda peaked with Morrowind. The writing and plot were clever, the world was open and entertaining enough it actually caused me to replay it through as several different characters--something I'm normally not prone to doing. Blame it on a short attention span and a desire for something different. But Oblivion was a mess. What I loved about Morrowind--the unique landscape, interesting side characters, and great possibility for character class customization--was gone. Instead we had a game in a generic England-like country, with characters who usually failed to be anything more or less than annoying, and a class system that was overhauled for no apparent reason. If it's not broken, guys, don't fix it.

So in short, I'm ready for both franchises to die. Maybe the creativity's been stifled by too much of the same. Let's see what Bethesda can cook up that DOESN'T have a numeral attached to the end.

EDIT: Oh yes, It would be better to make TES V
I think it should be made by Interplay.

Yes, but they should add better character animations.

Damn, those characters seem stiff.

Fallout 2 has some wonderful mods that you should try.

And they don't make games like this anymore. :(

Accept that it'll probably just be a rehash of whatever next popular RPG engine bethesda makes.

It doesn't matter if it should or would. Because it will be. It would be nice to get some mulitplayer or sumwhat of a different storyline.

Much rather see The elder Scrolls 5 why do they not get this. Fallout 3 was great and all but it felt like something was missing a certain charm that oblivion had

They managed to make Reno work in Fallout 2 (and as a Reno resident, I can say that if Fallout 2 is the future, then not much is going to change, just substitute crystal meth for Jet and you've got Reno 2009.) They could set Fallout 4 just about anywhere and I'm sure it'd be awesome.

It's too bad games can't fly under the radar like they used to, though. Fallout 1 and 2 worked so well because the mainstream media never figured out they existed. If Bethesda had that same level of freedom, I could picture them setting Fallout 4 in Salt Lake City with some post-apocalyptic remnant of the Mormon Church (up to and including the Tabernacle in ruins) fighting for control with a Ghoul army brainwashed as a parody of the white-shirt black-tie missionaries of today. They could do the same bit with revival-tent Christianity and set it in Alabama, complete with Confederate overtones and not-so-covert political statements about the Bush regime and the religious right.

Why not. I'd rather Bethesda got working on the Elder scrolls 5 though.
Agreed. Fallout 3 was an excellent game, don't get me wrong. But, I'm preferred Oblivion much more. Both are excellent, it's just my preference. If they could find a way to improve Oblivion? Shit, I'd worship them as my new gods.

Someone's obviously never played Fallout 1 or 2.

The few decent plot points and characters from Fallout 3 were taken from its predecessors.

Including Harold.

Bethesda fucked up big time killing him. He was an icon. They destroyed Fallout.

Who the hell is THEY?

INTERPLAY made Reno work. Not Bethesda.

Popularity doesn't dictate what Bethesda can't do with their I.P's.

Talent does.

That ain't bad. How about this, you know how the war with China is what Fallout is based off of? Well...what if you played in the China of the Fallout Universe? I think that'd be interesting...seeing all the United States hatemail, and propoganda, and such...

I agree with this it seems the world has gone a bit sequal mad recently it would be nice for a fresh game from bethesda one with a good story would be even better although personally i think a game should (if its going to) have 1 sequal and no more since it just makes the franchise feel like a mario/sonic follower in terms of milking the cow for all its worth considering most sequals get worse and worse every time.
