Fallout: Sydney would be awesome and we have so many already pretty fucked up animals living here. also, Mad Max anyone?

Fallout: Hershey

Mutated chocolate factory and amusement park? Why not. Not to mention its proximity to the state Capital, Harrisburg, and to the nuclear power plant near it, Three Mile Island. Could be interesting in a post apocolyptic scene. Boring as hell in standard life though.

Fallout: New York, where for some reason, New York didn't get hit but the majority of it's population had fled to the vaults leaving the poor and down trodden in control of the vast untouched city. The residents have destroyed every bridge leading to the city with the sole exception of the George Washington Bridge and over the wast 200 years have built a wall around Manhattan effectivly keeping the unwanted out.

Or

Fallout: The Commonwealth (Boston, Salem, up into Maine)

Not Lord Atkin

I'm dead inside.

Looks like Fallout: London is the most likely right now. I know, it's not funny. It's not meant to be funny. It's just sad.

Fallout: Bratislava. Nah. Not very interesting.

Fallout: London.

Could be about a city which has an established government but an accident happens and the entire city dissolves into a massive riot....... (lolcurrentaffiars)

I've seen a few people say Detroit. These people have apparently never been there. It all ready looks like a bomb went off. Although if it was all of Michigan, you could have a lot of interesting stuff in the farmlands and whatnot. You could have the big three cities that look like they have already been nuked (Detroit, Flint, Saginaw). You have the expansive wilderness of the north and the Upper Peninsula. A lot of imagination and it would be a lot of fun. Grand Rapids could be the site of some weird mutants that are the result of constant breeding by hipsters. They would be mutants, but ironically.

No offense but it really wouldn't be Fallout if it were were anywhere but the U.S. or China. As everything that Fallout is revolves around these two countries.

A post apocalyptic game set in Sydney or Toronto would be cool, but it wouldn't be Fallout if you get what I'm saying.

OT: Salt Lake or Orlando would be awesome... I would say China, but I fear it would be bogged down with either borderline racist accents or too many subtitles. Written language would also be a huge hurdle.
No offence taken. Good point. Then I say Fallout District of Columbia.
Also in the Fallout world, the US annexed Canada, so Toronto is part of the US

New Orleans isn't a marshland with floating shacks, ace. You're thinking of Lafayette. New Orleans is a town with stupid roads and more psychos per square foot than any other city on Earth. It would make a perfect Fallout setting.

it was a joke :p

I would love to visit new orleans myself..

I think if it was a game the soundtrack alone would make it worthwhile

Game is more important than an extremely sturdy story and they could still do it somehow. But 4 games of the US and nowhere else gets a bit stagnant. Needs some variety.

Fallout: Amsterdam

Mutated cannabis plants, really tall super mutants and probably a cheese-based gun.

I can think of three places that would be good for a Fallout game right off the bat:

Illinois

Florida

New York

IL would be a good mix of Suburbs and city. NY would give off an industrial feeling, and Florida would be 'Point Lookout' but longer.

I think one set during the war in Alaska and maybe some missions in China to test out the first few suits of power armour. But I think post-war Fallout games have to stay in the USA, because that's the style of game it is.
