What people forget is that a Fallout Location would only work in America or possibly in China. For obvious reasons that makes the series the way it is. I think a Fallout New York could work.
Sadly, I think this is a good point about the tone, humor, and established mythos of the series.

But purely from an imaginative point of view, I would love to see Fallout: Tokyo. Imagine the re- emergence of technology and conflicting ideology of New Vegas... with Japanese future technology. I think a faction of people who rebuilt a community of ninjas would be right at home in the series. Not that they would do it, I'm just considering the Rule of Cool potential.
We'd all love to see other cities but they wouldn't be Fallout Settings. They could make post apocalyptic settings but not Fallout!

Fallout Portsmouth (England)

Yeah, it would look good. Portsmouth is mainly an island so broken bridges would be an easy way to stop the map. There is the Spinnaker Tower: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinnaker_Tower
That would be a good place to house a boss. And, when you beat the boss, this could happen:

There is also a naval base. It would need some nuking but would look very good.

Fallout: Jamaica.

Can you imagine the awesomeness of the Rastaghouls ?! I'd like to imagine Harold could turn up again, possibly he was washed out to sea from DC, drifted down the coast, and washes up on a beach where the Rasta Wanderer finds him, half buried in sand and beginning to sprout coconuts.

New Orleans, and yes in fact I'm running a D20 Modern Fallout Campaign set 50 years after the events of New Vegas right now.

Fallout: Gatineau.

HAH.

That would be awesome - but no, it would not be a great setting for Fallout. Unless it was about the struggle to survive the winter, or something.

London. Big Ben would be great as a sniping point, and I would amuse myself to no end by firing rockets at Parliament. An idea for a mission perhaps?

I'd have to go for Fallout: London, since... well, have you been out there lately? Far as I'm concerned we've already witnessed the collapse of civilisation as we know it. ;)

I'm from Windsor Ontario Canada, right across the border is Detroit, I think this would be a great location for it. The bridge would probably be destroyed but maybe the tunnel would still work.

Yeah! Nuke Canada! We're to blame.
In the Fallout universe Canada was technically part of the United States (it was annexed) and contributed greatly to their war effort, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got nuked as well.

But I'd say Fallout: St. John's.
Too bad fallout doesn't have multiple 'areas'. Everything gets compacted into "everywhere is something" practically. It saves space, it's smart from a design point of view. But wouldn't it make more sense to have multiple states that you travel between?
Everything happening in one small isolated area really makes specific areas VERY important and highly underlooked in a grand scheme of things.

A massive water purifier that is poorly guarded by somewhat easy-to-kill orcs? Even if no one could make any use of the technology there, that should be one of the most highly guarded heavily defended places in the world since the moment OF entering Vault 101 with "dad". It should never have been run-down as it was.
The glitch-fest-final-mission of trying to take that thing over with the giant robot would likely have been it's constant-state of affair the entire game and two decades prior (at least).

Now what if there were things like that all over the land? Every state could have something worth protecting. Having 5 different things of the same important spanning a mile between them seems ridiculous.

Fallout: Austin... Um, no. Noooooooooooo. The only thing that might have a place in a Fallout game is the UT Tower that a crazed gunman shot a bunch of people off of.

Well, Fallout 3 already covered my home town. I would say Savannah, GA since I went to school there BUT Left 4 Dead took place in Savannah (kind of). However, I did live in Atlanta for a year so I wouldn't seeing Atlanta getting torched.
