If you follow the cursor by making this your main objective, you'll find one at the cemetery and the other in the school-house yard. Just look around in those areas until you find click-able plants. (Also pick up the snow-globe in the cemetery).

What he said.

I need help from people who have done a few hours with or without "Wild Wasteland".

Is the wasteland actually wilder?

Edit:

It is. Oh god. The Holy Hand Grenade makes this a perk well worth taking.

Apparently you'll just find a lot more random encounters, by animals and people, and some silly things. I couldn't tell the difference, but perhaps I just didn't get far enough in either to make a really good comparison.

Thats that question answered....

To Onyx I chose wild wasteland and while I'm not far enough into the story to really tell I have found 2 definite answers and 1 possible......

My first start I had just made the healing powder and was heading back to Goodwill.....
There was a coyote attacking a guy, so I shot the coyote to help him and he comes up to me and says thank you very much, blah blah now let me help you, next thing he pulls out a bat and starts chasing me trying to beat me with it, was pretty funny but I ended up killing him, after killing him the wild wasteland symbol appeared in the top left of the screen.

Then when I get to Goodwill I go into the saloon talk a bit and come back out to find a giant rad scorpion attacking people in the middle of town, it killed pretty much everyone, including the gang member looking for the guy who is hiding......so it wrecked the quests but no symbol came up. Possibly because I didn't kill it?

Anyway I started again......... Got the healing powder and noticed a guy nearby so I went over to talk to him, he told me his daughter was up on the ridge trapped by geckos. So I go up to help his daughter, when I get up there I kill all the Geckos and a random guy, There's human corpses all over the show as the guy was obviously a cannibal. There was a few boxes about with some awesome stuff so I grab it all then leave thinking the guy must have eaten the other guys daughter so I go back to tell him. Only to find him coming up the hill towards me then says sorry about that but now you have to die....then attacks. (also had wild wasteland symbol in top left)

So I find it quite funny but can be really annoying like the scorpion one. So save often!!

Also I didn't realise until my 2nd charcter that you can choose any number of perks up to 2. So my first I chose wild wasteland because it seemed cool, and something else thatseemed to be the best of a bad bunch as they all seem pretty rubbish. My 2nd character I only picked wild wasteland.

That same thing happened to me with the guy and the geckos and I don't have the wild wasteland perk. I didn't interpret him as a cannibal however, I assumed the bones were from people the geckos killed.

Snow Globe? I only found Cigarette Butts in the Cemetary.
I bought a shovel after being up at the cemetery picking the plants and wanting to dig up graves (what?! They are dead, they don't need it!), and I saw a Snow-globe just sitting there on a grave. Had Vault Boy in it. I picked it up. Perhaps it's just random for everyone.

Oh. I thought you meant the evidence for your shooter.

I didn't get a/the shovel yet.

It's not random, that's where it is. You can either keep it or sell it to Mr. House for big caps.

DOes anyone else think that Hardcore mode is anything but?

Really, with Hardcore on, the game really isn't that much difficult, until one of your arms breaks and you have to run from every encounter like a small child.

And the drinking/eating mechanic happens so rarely it might as well not matter at all for the most part. Well, until I was forced to stumble around doped to the gills on med-x, psycho and vodka to survive a particularly boneheaded decision I'd made (I snuck into the prison to talk to a guy you see. I had not, at that point, tried putting on a faction outfit so I was not aware I could just walk up to the front gate had I done so). Having stabbed my way past the guard at the gate, I found the guy, had my conversation and was immedeately beset by the contents of the prison.

It made for an interesting time, though I really would like Med-X to allow me to ignore the effects of a broken limb the way it did in FWE.
