I installed a killable children mod so I could fully eliminate Caesar's Legion without some invincible kids running around, and now that I have the child killer perk, I'm wondering how to find the Perk's ID# (since it isn't officially listed on the list of perks on Fallout Wiki) I mean, somehow the ID #'s had to be found, right?
I just need it to remove the perk so i can do certain quests.
also, even before i had killed kids melody (from saving sargeant teddy [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Saving_%28or_Savaging%29_Sergeant_Teddy]) just won't talk to me. she just keeps saying "hello" or "im not supposed to talk to strangers"
First, open FOMM (you ARE using Fallout Mod Manager, right? If not, START USING IT).
Then, find the mod you want to peek at in your list and right click on it.
Click "Open in TESsnip"
This is what it looks like:
I've used the Child at Heart perk mod for NV as an example, since it's small and also has a perk. As you can see, in the PERK group, there's a perk. I've highlighted the FormID. That's what you want. Write that down.
HOWEVER
And this is [HEADING=2]VERY IMPORTANT[/HEADING]
TESsnip does not know the actual mod index of the mod you're looking at.
The mod index is listed in FOMM. These two numbers will replace the first two numbers of the Form ID when you type it in the console in-game. For example:
The Form ID of the Child at Heart Perk is 3142. According to FOMM, the mod index is 16. To give myself Child at Heart, I would therefore need to type
player.addperk 16003142
And so, there you have it. How to find Form IDs for mod items.
i found the ID but using "player.removeperk" with it doesn't work :/ lame. i made sure it was the ID by checking other numbers from other perks and checking that the numbers for those perks were the actual IDs.
Also, I went back to make sure I had the right ID and then the number changed? wtf?

The screenshot shows TESSnip, not FOMM, that's why there's no mod index. In FOMM, the mod index is the number to the right of the name of the mod. It changes when you move a mod up or down in the load order.

Do you know what Google [http://lmgtfy.com/?q=tessnip+fallout] is by any chance? It's much more helpful than necroing a year old thread and results are much quicker.
