I still use power armors or dusters(there's an amazing duster with a black texture which you get from the NCR merc who threatens Jacobstown).I think That Gun should remain a 5-10 level weapon. The bonus critical is quite good. And I don't see the point in bottle that water as PN allows you to use Sunset Sarsaparilla and Nuke Cola as intended - for hydration/sleep.[/quote]

Wait I never heard of any black dusters on those mercs if that is not a mod I gotta get me one of those

I tend to use mods to completely change the experience. In Fallout 3 I added a series of mods to make it a zombie survival game, though having already played the game to death and having no set goal kind of killed the excitement.

This time I'm just trying to supplement vanilla NV as much as possible with as little mods as possible. Mainly FOOK, improved textures and lighting, and perks. I'll probably add more as things progress, I definitely want to up the difficulty and make it more survivally, so that it actually feels like a relief to return to New Vegas and relax in luxury, but I'll save that for when I've steadied.

About the survival aspect:I really want to find the right experience with this but I guess the Mojave is just too small. In New Vegas I've never had the feeling that I have to take the risk and try and kill those bandits with my limited ammunition just to find some food and water.I really hope they bring vast enviroments with the next Fallout.Wherever you go it's populated and it's supposed to be a desert :D.

All of the mods that add naked women and sex are obviously the best! (If you don't get that this is a joke, I feel very bad for you.)
I feel bad for you that you need to come to a thread where you have nothing to comment on to crack jokes.

Maybe it's Project Nevada as it adds new armors. One of them is the armored duster and I suppose the one I found was a unique variant with slightly more DT.

Well, I'm afraid that I really haven't got the experience to comment upon modding this game because I only mod Fallout 3 and Oblivion and felt that owning New Vegas on the 360 was good enough because it worked the mods I liked from Fallout 3 into the base experience.

I do apologise for not leaving something more relevant to the topic at hand, I don't normally act like that. I don't believe I was really paying attention whilst forming the comment, (lots of scheduling for various events going on) if I were I probably would've Googled NV mods, read the details and upon finding one that sounds really good, link it on here, maybe even kidding myself into thinking I had improved someones playing experience through sheer luck and use of Google.

Anyway, sorry about that.

Avoid Dog City Denver.Modder has attempted to restore some Van Buuren content but it's not really good.I tried to criticize constructively and he blew me away with his "if you can do better do it" comment.
