Ah... I haven't played Fallout 2 so was unaware who they were.

I think they were at least mentioned in Fallout 1 somewhere...

Apparently they're bigger than the enclave... should be interesting.

Yeah, it does remind me of that. You got nice 50s music playing while the camera continuously zooms back to show a wasteland until you see an armored person and hear Ron Perlman says "War. War never changes".

Not that I'm saying it's bad. Hell, it's great. I'm eager to see what this will turn out like.

Yeah, this looks very good. I was definitely expecting the camera to pan out and see a ruined city swallowed by desert, but I'm pleasantly surprised they seem to be going in a different direction with this ACTUAL civilization thing.
And of course it will be quite fascinating to see how the NCR factors into all this, especially for those who've played either of the original Fallout games...

The NCR flag at the end made me very happy. This connection to the old F1 and F2 if pretty cool for old school fans like me.

Kinda lame to be honest. The teaser that is, I have high hopes for the game. All we saw was a wasteland with a city... I know a city in the fallout universe is a pretty big deal but there was no action/intriguing visuals and a neo-nazi doesn't impress me. They may as well throw the helghast in there. All I saw was more of the wastes... just more sandy.

Of course some will because it's not isometric and turn-based, but there are a considerable number of people working on this one who were responsible for the original games...

They were if you got the right ending. Whether they were founded or not depends on your acdtions.

They're the biggest organisation in the US except possibly Ceaser's Legion. Also considering the Enclave are all dead it's not hard to be bigger than them. Actualy if it's CL vs NCR then that's a hell of alot better than FO3 gave us.

What were you expecting in the teaser? Maybe explosions and gunfire going on constantly?

I mean teaser style action, not necessarily combat. Maybe a crowd of panicky people running away from a death squad of Neo-Nazis in a "flashback to minutes before" moment. Something to build tension as to what the guys a capable of.

I was pointing out that while Fallout's teasers aren't necessarily that exciting, they're not really supposed to be.

That's about as far as it's possible to get from Neo-Nazi aesthetics without wearing a star of David. That's a WW1 aesthetic which is very appropriate for the NCR now I think about it.

I remember in Fallout 2 I ruined a family in Nevada during my first playthrough. (I can't remember if the city was Vegas or Reno.)

The mother and daughter were both prostitutes, and both had addictions. I killed the father/husband of the family, drove the daughter to get hooked on drugs and got them both pregnant.

It's good, but it reminds me of Fallout 3 teaser, theyr showed DC suburbs, and I thought "awesome, a city, in ruins but a city at least" I expect to New Vegas to be the only City in the world map, with lots of 6 habitants settlements...
