Fallout: New Vegas teaser trailer released!

I know who Chris Avellone is but from at least wikipedia it seems that Fallout: New Vegas may have someone else be the the lead designer... I don't know how much Chris Avellone is gong to do with Fallout: New Vegas, hopefully a lot because New Reno was pretty fun.

Except Avellone didn't design New Reno, Sawyer did he's also lead for Van Buren and New Vegas.

In that case I'm a moron. Oh well, I'm used to it, the name I chose for these forums is pretty apt description of myself. =)

They totally copied the fallout 3 trailer, except not as well. I don't judge games on trailers, mind you, but I'm just saying: wow, copycats.

If you haven't seen the FO3 trailer go do so immediately, it is a bad-ass trailer.

Oh, and OT: I'm definitely excited for this game. My expectations aren't too high, but I still can't wait.

Energy in the Wasteland? ZOUNDS! Then again, Fallout 2 did have a CAR, and New Reno from that game also had some power, AND I imagine a few energy supplies from the Vault systems could easily power a small city, seeing as it has to deal with a steady supply of oxygen, light, heat, all of the appliances..

Dude, the Hoover Dam, it will continue to work long after we're gone, the only thing that'll stop it is back from water bacteria/creatures.

Also, this rocks, something tells me these guys are people who walk the wastes, which would be very dangerous because it was a dessert before, so rain wouldn't get rid of the radiation, hence the gas mask.

I'm guessing that the robot was carrying out it's pre-war tasks still, whatever they are. And doing so with incredible inefficiency. Probably to compound just how futile it's existence is now.

Anyways, I didn't expect Vegas to still be standing, and with what appears to be power throughout the entire city.

They're the biggest organisation in the US except possibly Ceaser's Legion.

What's Ceaser's Legion? I don't think I've ever heard of them. Which Fallout game where they in?

You see what I mean. The people who are making this game (Obsidian) have lots of members to those who made the original Fallouts. The originals had an actual civilization.

One step ahead of you. From what I recall, most big cities were small buildings. Two stories at the most.

This is made of skyscrapers and a whopping great tower. I was expecting something on the level of New Reno, only bigger. I was not expecting something the Brotherhood of Steel would cream their Power Suits / robes over.

Apparently, they were meant to be in Van Buren. Seeing as that never took off, it's technically not official canon. Yet.

I always wondered if there was a place mostly undamaged by the nuclear fallout because there was no possible way China would have been able to nuke the entire U.S. And it will be nice to have some civilization in the wastes.
