Old World Blues, its difficult in places but the story is more standalone. Some of the equipment you get is handy too, plus its easily the best and downright hilarious.

In my opinion, hold off. Do them in the order they where released (Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and then Lonesome Road). The DLC in this game have an overarching plot which you'll enjoy ten times more if you do it in order, become invested in the situation and learn about the characters, themes and ideas. I know you'll have to wait a while but New Vegas is a big game, plenty to do! If you're looking for what to do in the main game, my favourite part is the companion quests, go find Veronica, Boone and the others and learn about them and their quests. Also, if you know more about the world and characters you'll notice little nods to them in the DLCs.

Dead Money was difficult and tedious, Honest Hearts was short, but easy. Old World Blues was even better than Point Lookout, but I would wait until you're at least halfway to the level cap to enjoy it thoroughly. And Lonesome Road is difficult, but fun, and I would save this one for last.

Honestly... I liked Dead Money the most, then Lonesome Road. But good luck with the head pewy-up thingy and the Riddler doing a impersonation of Henry Kissenger with a soar throat while gargarling rocksalt.
While I disagree, that made me laugh, so thank you :)

The order which they were released of course!
1. Dead Money
2. Honest Hearts-My favourite
3. Old World Blues
4. Lonesome Road
They make a nice story in that order.
