"Well that's perfectly alright, old man! I have enough to get by, just forgot to buy extras on the way here!" He saw the three pretty redheads and his face lit up. "Why hellooo! So very good to see you!"

Jayne-"I've been out to sea before and curious really of what else is out of there on a solid rig instead of a boken one, you?"." Rayn chatted as he checked the weapons over and made sure they were a hundred percent condition.

Turning towards David, "I do but barely enough to make any cash off of them."

---

The steward began to walk towards the lower deck entrances, "I'm not at liberty to state security matters to passengers."

---

The trio of red were busy talking in hushed tones and the one who had previously talked to Robin merely looked at the ghoul with disdain before turning her back towards the conversation at hand.

"So you do then? good if you don't sell them let me know, I'll may need to top up my clips later on while on this trip" David replied.
Then headed for the bar.

"That war out in Vegas did a number on me," Jayne began, tilting his head down, "so I left the army, been tryin' to wander around and ferget what happened, but it ain't workin' long as I'm in NCR land. What's left of Legion terr'tory ain't any better fer soul-searchin' so I reckon I'll leave both. Gettin' killed ain't my concern, but the sumbitch that does it's gonna work fer it." Once Robin finished checking the weapons, Jayne retook possession of them and reloaded them.

"I see ya came back alive, but how'd them other boat trips go?"

"Fuggedaboudit here on in, pal, I can find my own way," Donny said to the steward. "You can go back to serving cheap moonshine to hookers." He added under his breath "I might as well have found out the security by firin' off in the lounge. A distinct possibility if I can get enough cognac." He turned the corner and found the door that read "gambling lounge." He walked inside, seated himself at a blackjack table, and placed his entire 10 caps in front of the dealer. "How's about it, buddy? Feelin' lucky?"

Donny-<spoiler=The Casino Deck>The Casino area turned out to just be a large storage room refitted with some windows crudely cut and welded, along with a few tables set up, one being a pool table converted to blackjack. Protectrons lined the walls every few feet as the room was 30 by 10 feet.

The dealers looked clean if just a bit of time spent in the Waste, the nearest and only blackjack table had two occupants already, one a girl with a dirty complexion, spiked green hair, and an obvious raider out look, along with a business man of the Asian persuasion and a ghoul to boot.

The pile of chips between the two show low on the female Raiders end, while merely modest for the Ghoul with mixed currency next to the chips.

The dealer eyed the ten caps and chuckled slicking back greasy black hair in his suit vest, "Afraid the buy in is 50 caps, I could loan you some cash but it doubles the interest I'm afraid, or you could stake some goods friend." His voice was seedy and had an accent of a long time smoker.

The Raider with a scowl on her face merely looked at Donny with something of an appetite less of love and more of "I'll eat you and spit your bones out." The Ghoul merely kept blank as he muttered a word in Chinese (which no one should really know).

David-<spoiler=The Bar>The Holding deck was the main hub as David passed the area, with vendors offering goods and mixed variety of people shopping, of the most significant were a ghoul couple in old war relaxed wear of spring, a group of ten super mutants with their leader trying to argue with a scared merchant and robot stewards nearby in case of violence, along with a robo-brain trying to play chest while the owner and another merchant argued over a rocket launcher.

The bar was set up in the Holding deck in the farthest corner from the main entrance, shaped like a U and with tables and things propped against pipes, a Handy was managing drinks.

"Hello there Sir! What Can I get for you upon this fair Queen?" It replied cheer, the only other occupants of the bar just cast a glance as they were numerous wastelanders and ghouls or so.

Jayne-<spoiler=Robin>"Well I don't mind swapping stories about my life on the ocean, but I'd prefer knowing your name until I tell you about those commotions." Robin said this with ease as he held out his left hand to shake as his right grabbed a nearby rag to wipe away some grime from the weapon repair and cleaning. "I'm Robin if you can't tell, Vault-Born, and you are?"

David stared at the mutants for a second then turned to the Handy and said "1 measure of the strongest drink you got mixed with 1 measure of the second strongest drink you got, leave it on the bar, be back in a moment."
He put his hand by his sidearm and walked over to the Mutants.
"Excuse me but what seems to be the problem?"

"Fergot my manners, I 'pologize," Jayne began, shaking Robin's hand. "Name's Jayne, was a Sergeant Major with the NCR. Born 'n raised out in the wasteland, so I got mighty good at fightin'. Thought gettin' paid fer it'd be nice, so I enlisted, worked my way up the ranks. Enjoyed it, but war like that does a number on a fella." Jayne began to scratch his chest, but his hand quickly stopped and grabbed the dog tags around his neck, along with the shirt over them. "Some more'n others."

"How the mighty have fallen...If you'd be so kind to loan me 40, you oughta be gettin' it back real soon." Donny reviewed his seat between the ghoul and the raider, and let out a sigh. He slipped left hand behind his back and placed a bluish glass setting into the ring on his left hand. Good thing they made some of the cards outta that cheap paper, he thought. The light from the window and this setting might 's well be an x-ray. He also felt for the his counter on his pocket watch, and reset it. He looked to the raider next to him, and shot her a look that basically said "How loose are you?"

I didn't think of the uses of his jewelry until two days after I sent in the profile, so I hope nobody's going to be a stickler. Also if someone could tell me how to put the OOC on these tags from now on, it'd be nice since I can't find how.

<spoiler=OOC>Diablo, please note you do not control the actions or interactions between NPC's unless stated or given to exceptions from me as the GM, do not do this again and the above post is void so you can either delete the content or change it to something minor alright?

General- is how you name a spoiler voiding the spaces between brackets. Please explain a bit more clearly what in hells bells one Donny is intending to do with his recently added ring, I'm not quite sure on the functionality or reality of the situation involved at the moment.

Diablo-The group of super mutants turned towards David, the leader talking to a merchant holding a sawed-off in one hand and a combat knife in the other didn't move his eyes as the mutants glared.

Most of them were armed with heavy weapons and quite a few super sledges, the leader had against many odds a crude monocle of sorts.
"Who are you smooth skin!" the mutant spoke in tone of contained anger and grating voice, in his hand he hefted the super sledge.
"Don't you go and try anything funny or else these tin cans will fry you!" The merchant wore traveling clothes and the nearby mounted turrets had already swiveled over ready to fire along with nearby Stewards and a Sentry Bot.

Jed-"Nice to meet you Jayne, I'm not exactly a big fan of the NCR but their better then most out there, to answer your question about my travels on a boat, I came from a vault somewhere out in this ocean, took a raft, crashed in to a wrecked battle ship, managed to fix a boat and get to the main land before sinking. I've fought mire lurks in the water, punched ghouls in the face, and fried some mutant critters in the ocean, and a nasty lot they are."

Robin scratched the back of his head as another bucket sailed over head on to another Sterward, with the cries of joy from his Gutsy, "I kinda also got a Gutsy out of it all, he likes to lobs things that go boom and seems he can pull weight with his army I.D"

General-The dealer tossed a few chips in and smiled with the friendly kind saying "try and cheat and you'll be dead beat." Shuffling and dealing the cards out they seemed to have come from the "Tops" of New Vegas.

The raider grinned revealing rows of dirty and sharpened teeth like a shark, and her breath reeked of rotted flesh and dead things in general.

The Ghoul kept a blank face as he looked at his pair, the raider merely grinned with her dis concerning teeth. The dealer had an 7 on the table, while Donny had gotten an 8 and a 5.

<spoiler=Go Cannibal>Enough said about here.

Thanks. As for the ring, I saw this on both a few western technology shows and the omniscient wisdom of Sanford and Son, how certain instruments(particularly glasses) can reflect light in such a way to either offset chemicals in lemon juice on the back of a card or be able to plainly see through the back of it depending on the quality of the paper and the type of ink. Therefore, light reflected from a similar instrument could have similar effects, allowing that we were working in fiction. I really don't want to get into a scientific debate over it, and I figured a slight stretch to possibility could be granted, seeing the subject matter we're writing in. And it has always been there in the profile, but the function was, admittedly, pulled from my ass. Heh, the captcha says "postoffice" as my character contemplates shooting up the place.

At this point, Donny was just about ready to start shooting. Not the best idea, but seemingly the only plausible one. His fake confidence was shattered. It was at the point where he was ready to punch the dealer, strangle the ghoul, and recommend a good dentist for the raider. His ring wasn't going to work, and his card counter would be easily spotted. If he just tried to bribe the dealer by pointing a barrel at his 'nads, 17 separate instruments of death would be pointed at his. An 8 and a 5. Good odds, but not a sure thing. If he showed, though, they might catch on.

I'm really starting to regret that deal with Joey last year, he thought. I shoulda just let him kill me, then and there. But, then again, we all got obligations and such.

He summoned his courage, tipped up his hat, put on the most detached poker face he could muster, and said "Hit me."

"I reckon I can understand that, lesser o' evils and whatnot," Jayne commented, raising an eyebrow at the flying bucket. "Them Legion types ain't fit to run nothin' wearin' them silly skirts around. Them's most of my kills, but I got plenty o' raiders and critters on the board." Jayne showed Robin the notches on the handles of his weapons. On the shotgun's stock, among the tally marks, there was a lone X near the butt pad. "That there's a reminder o' why I like to keep slugs around. Glad ya had a spare, friend."

Jed-"No problem, if you''ll excuse me I've got to take care of my Gutsy buddy and his throwing practice, be glad he isn't using grenades." Robin replied as he turned to go picking up a wrench and some wonder glue in hand.

Donny-The raider said hit likewise while the ghoul decided to stay, as the dealer passed two cards out the raider folded and took her sum of the chips to a nearby cashier booth set up out of metal sheets and wood.

Donny had gotten a 2.

<spoiler=OOC>I'm using a black jack sim for all gambling games by the way.

On Deck-The next load of passengers would be arriving soon...

Jayne nodded at Robin before heading down to the casino. While a Sergeant Major was used to crowds of soldiers parting for him, civilians didn't have the same respect for the rank, but he easily slipped through the crowds of humans, ghouls, and mutants. Shotgun slung over his shoulder, he wandered the tables until he spotted Donny playing some Blackjack.

What a silly game these Profligates play. They are all but throwing their caps to the casinoes, yet they continue to play on the small chance that they actually make a noticeable profit. Watching the game, Jayne slid his satchel to the front of his waist and kept his left hand over it. A smirk on his face, he stood back just far enough to inform the dealer he was only here to watch.

"Ya makin' bank there, Donny?"

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought of it.

"I ain't makin' money or friends, Bocephus, and I'd rather spend my time lettin' Joey run me around like his mule."

He turned to the businessman sitting next to him, and clenched the fist that wasn't holding the cards. Sometimes his prejudice shocked even him, and he tried to pull over some veil of self control, if merely for himself. He'd only been on this boat for less than a day, and he was already tired of the rusty boat, the snarky passengers, and his new-found poverty. So what did he have to lose?

"Hit me, slick."

He turned to Jayne and said "So what brought on this interest in my addictions, Bocephus?"
