But is it one of those movies that aged well? 'cause some old movies do, and a hell of a lot of them didn't.
If you are referring to the Superman movies eh not that much. Its Silver Age Superman at his most crudest and don't get me started on Lex in this movie.

A much better aged Superman is the animated series of the 90s. Also I found the 40s animated cartoons better then the first Superman movie.

I'm going to divide this into two parts - movies I want to see that people have listed (because I can't be arsed to list every single movie I ever want to see), and my 2 cents on what I think of movies that I've seen that people might want to consider). So, on that note:

Part 1

-Schindler's List

-Full Metal Jacket (I've seen some of this film, wouldn't mind seeing the rest)

-Dune (I actually have this on DVD, just haven't found time to watch it. Also helps that I love the novel it's based on, though I haven't read all of said novel)

-Gone with the Wind

-Superman (original) (in that I liked MoS, so I might as well see how great this version is)

-Godfather Trilogy (might as well see all three)

-The Thing

Part 2

-Spirited Away

See this. Please see this. The amount of creativity it displays in its visuals alone is worth the price of admission

-Citizen Kane

I reccomend this film. It's a bit slow compared to modern films, but I feel it's a movie that people should see if only to get a greater appreciation of the medium, how it incorporates elements of both theatre and film into its cinamatography. I actually saw it for the first time when I tutored a student in English, and I loved it)

-2001: A Space Odyssey

I really don't like this film. It's not that I don't "get it" - I do. But while I absolutely adore the novel version, the film is just too slow for me. I can enjoy slow films (Citizen Kane, to recently seeing Rams), but this film takes the cake. But that said, I think it's worth seeing this film, if only because of its historical context in the medium, how it's perhaps the first "serious" sci-fi film. Also, as slow as it is, it's a very intelligent film, how it tells (by my interpretation) the story of human evolution, with its protagonist being an abstract (humanity itself). Just be prepared for a film where dialogue doesn't occur for about 25 mintutes. Controversy time, but I actually enjoy the film "2010" more.

-GoldenEye

My third favorite Bond movie, my favorite Bronsan Bond movie, and actually the first Bond movie I saw. Give this one a watch.

-Grand Budapest Hotel

This is a mixed bag for me, but I'd reccomend it. It's got a quirky, off-beat style that works, but I have to say, this movie feels exhausting at times, like it uses that style so much it loses impact. But there's still fun to be had.

-Casablanca

This is actually my aunt's favorite movie of all time. As for myself...it's okay. It's good, but I don't really see why it's considered a cinematic masterpiece. There's still fun to be had.

-To Kill a Mockingbird

One of the rare film adaptations that surpasses the book it was based on. The court sequence is easily the highest point in the film, but the rest of it does a good job of highlighting life in the 1930s of the "Deep South," and it follows the themes of the book excellently (e.g. the 'innocence of childhood'). If anything, listen to Atticus's closing speech on YouTube. It outright deserves it.

-Galaxy Quest

If you like comedies, you'll like this movie. If you're invested in nerd culture, you'll love this movie. If you like Star Trek, you'll either adore this movie, or go on a rampage by being 'insulted.' ;)

-Lawrence of Arabia

It's been ages since I've seen this film, and I saw it over a number of sessions due to how long it is. But yes, I reccomend it.

-Apocalypse Now

This is a mixed one for me. On one hand, I do think it's a good film. However, it's not a film I particuarly enjoy watching due to how long it is. Also, in the edition I saw, there's a lot I felt was superfluous, such as the French plantation sequence. It also didn't help that I watched and studied this film alongside Heart of Darkness, which I loathed. I do reccomend watching it, but no promises as to whether you'll like it. But at the least, I do consider it better than the book that inspired it.

-Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Not a fan. I just didn't laugh that much, found the use of the real-life setting (e.g. the historian) out of place, the animated sequences too weird, and...yeah. I prefer Life of Brian, and even that I don't consider to be all that great. Intelligent in some ways, but not "great," per se. If anything, I enjoyed Holy Flying Circus more.

-The Lord of the Rings

Favorite movies of all time, love the extended additions, see it see it SEE ITTTT!

(But yeah, see it.)

OH! I thought of another franchise. The Planet of the Apes movies. All of them. The originals, the Burton-Kevin Smith one, and the remakes.

Tron come to think of it. Haven't seen any of them

Also Back to the Future III. That one I actually have some interest in.

Tron is a weird one for me. It doesn't help that there's essentially two continuities. The original film is in both of them, but in one continuity we have the likes of Tron 2.0, while the other includes Uprising and Tron: Legacy (plus EU material in both branches).

As for the two films I've seen, I find them both to be "okay." The first Tron is more creative in its world, but it's soured by acting issues and that the film has aged terribly (though this isn't perhaps too bad in that it's arguably a showcase of how technology itself has progressed within the setting as well). Legacy, I feel has better characters and storytelling, but it isn't as creative in its ideas. In essence, one film has better conception, while the other has better execution. It's because of this that I prefer Legacy, but most people seem to prefer the original.

Also, I can add Back to the Future to my list of films I want to see, as I haven't seen any of them. But isn't the third usually regarded as the weakest of the three?

There are a good number of movies that I want to watch, but the problem is that I either don't have the time or wish to spend the time doing something else. It also doesn't help that I have some unexplainable dislike of things like Netflix so I'd have to track down a physical copy of most of them in order to see them.

I'm coming up blank here... and not from a lack of trying... I mean, I guess I can blame my grandmother alongside TCM and, at this point, IFC for showing me the "famous movies" that became classics in their own right... including the lesser-known and/or lesser-appreciated classics...

*sighs* I guess if I had to choose a famous movie to re-watch now because I saw it when I was less than average elementary school age, I guess it would be either... uh... fucking... Song of the South or The Birth of a Nation... I think one of my friends has one of them on DVD somehow...

Solaris - I tried once. Got bored within an hour. I enjoyed Stalker and Ivan's Childhood, even though they were a bit tedious.
Once Upon a Time in America - Also gave up on this. I'm more hesitant to try this again than Solaris.
Throne of Blood (Kumonosu-jo)
The Maltese Falcon - Gonna watch this soon.

Looking at my Amazon list...

The Kid
In a Lonely Place
The Bridge on the River Kwai
The Graduate
Rebecca
Witness for the Prosecution
It's a Wonderful Life
City Lights
The Apu Trilogy
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
The Searchers
The Fly
Carlito's Way
Double Indemnity
Strangers on a Train
Cries and Whispers

Though, a lot of them are Criterion Collection releases, which are always really expensive.
Oh another question. Have you ever watched the movie True Romance? Is it of the same quality as Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs?

I don't like watching films or TV series(es?) on my own. So i usually have to go bother someone else if i want to see anything. I blame handheld computers for being distracting. Unfortunately, my current abode means much much isolation, Yippee! So there are quite a few DVDs i find myself buying but not watching until some door to door mormons come knocking to ask if i seen J-dude lately, to which i retort "why yes, my fellow mormon chumbuddies! He's right in here, through the hallway and on the first left...that's right, just there. He wanted to use my bathroom too!" Then i kidnap and trap them for a film session. It doesn't always work out that smoothly as some are wrigglers and others have some long term memory powers. Still have yet to watch the last two seasons of Breaking Bad and Hannibal.

Oh right...films. Err, Godfather. The Martian. Beetlejuice. Blade Runner. Apocalypse Now. Prometheus 2. Oops, too far.
The wytch...or witch?
Moon.
2001 A space odyssee.
Inside Out.
Zootopia. (Or zootroplis if you're a dirty European like me).
At one point i desired to watch Stephen King's IT, but it's too dated, i'm too jaded and clowns just aren't that scary. As long as they have a restraining order and are on the register, also docile and chained, they're fine.

With movies, my choices based on genres are limited just with Animation and Avant-garde. Yet, I'm only aware of my interests in Animation.

By now, I'm just interested in some Pixar movies like ''Up'' and ''Toy Story 3''.

The Fly
Carlito's Way

Carlito's Way is a decent movie. I don't know if I put it above Scarface or not. But it has its great moments.

But now let me ask something of you.

My absolute favorite genre of movie is the Crime Genre.

I love movies like Goodfellas, Casino, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Reservoir Dogs, and to a degree Pulp Fiction, American Gangster, The Departed, etc etc.

But I have never had the pleasure of watching The Sopranos so judging from your avatar you must have seen it so tell.

Since I love movies like Goodfellas and Casino, will I love the Sopranos?
It's easy to see the impact of Goodfellas on The Sopranos. The series creator has named Martin Scorsese as a big influence. You'll probably like it. It's a smart show with great characters. But keep in mind that it focuses more on the characters' personal lives, especially Tony's, than these movies. It's definitely a crime show, but family and introspection are big parts of it too.
I have been watching a bunch of random scenes on youtube for a long time now but it is nothing compared to watching the whole package. Most of the times it shows Tony as just being an unlikeable dick but then it shows scenes like this:

Also and I have already been spoiled but I don't care so let me say it:

Was Tony killed at the very end of the series when the screen turned to black?
It's deliberately ambiguous. You have any number of theories saying he is and he isn't.
I don't find it ambiguous. It's pretty clear to me that he was from his character arc and how the scene played out.
I find that, whatever anybody infers from the finale, it's always "pretty clear" to them.

I like to ask someone's recommendation on this and this may come as a surprise but:

I have never seen the Evil Dead movies.

Are all 3 movies worth of watch?
