Famous movies you have never seen, but want to?

I like to ask someone's recommendation on this and this may come as a surprise but:

I have never seen the Evil Dead movies.


Are all 3 movies worth of watch?

Yes. In their own ways, they're all pretty good. The first is an inventive small budget horror title, the second picks up right after the second with more of an emphasis on comedy, and the third is a bigger budgeted straight goofy comedy.

Evil Dead 2 is the best of the three for sure, but watching them in order is like watching Raimi grow as a filmmaker.

Some old epics are just too old and the epic has faded, and so I have little interest in Gone With the Wind or Lawrence of Arabia for example. I fell asleep halfway through Doctor Zhivago for example.

I mostly see movies on a library's disk. They don't have Dark City nor the original Ghost in the Shell. Then there's the bunch of older Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies as well as earlier John Woo flicks that would require me to go out of my way to see.

There are others I haven't seen (duh), but I will pick them up eventually (the library's collection is decent after all). Most David Lynch films for example.
