Probably Karl Marx, so he could bitchslap a few people into order. Perhaps give Stalin a bit of air so Marx could smack his head in with his thickest, goatbeatingest manifest.

My first thought when I saw this thread was my ex.
After thinking about it for a while, I came up with a shitload of people I wish were still alive. Christopher Hitchens (The only man I'd bring myself to drink a glass of whiskey for), George Carlin, Dimebag Darrell, Chuck Schuldiner, Thomas Forsberg a.k.a. Quorthon.
I could probably mention more people, but at this point, it just feels like name-dropping.

Heath Ledger. It would have been so interesting to see where his career went after the Dark Knight...

Jim Henson.53 is way too young to die.He had so much creativity that we'll never get to see.
Also,John Denver.I don't care if it's corny or what anyone says,I liked the dude and he had a lovely voice.Saw him several times in concert and the dude could really play.He also did some cool work for conservation. His Plant-It foundation has planted over a million trees and will plant 10 million by 2015.
Steve Irwin. No kids who adored their dad that much should grow up without him. Also,he was passionate about wildlife without being a douche or a ratbag(yes,I'm looking at YOU PETA)
Alan Turing.A genius and a war hero. What the UK Gov't did to him was utterly shameful-merely because he was gay.
Anyone who has ever committed suicide, especially from bullying issues or mental health problems.I see some of these teen suicides doing their 'last videos' on Youtube and it breaks my heart.Young people should have so much to live for.Why others want to 'add to their pile of rotten things'(to paraphrase Doctor Who)by treating them like garbage is beyond me.And depression is a terrible thing.

Excluding friends and family, what person do you wish was still alive today, the most?.
This thread depresses me greatly. My mind immediately jumped to family and your misleading thread title made me sad.
Sorry about that. Would add "Famous" to the beginning if I could.

Same for me. I don't drink, but if he offered me some scotch I'd go for it.

I went out and bought a bottle of his favorite whisky, Johnnie Walker Black, just to raise a glass in his honor.
Haven't touched the stuff since then though, whisky tastes horrible IMO, but I'll raise another glass for him on his birthday and day of death every year from now on.

Johnny Cash
I think death was right for Cash. He seemed really unhappy since his wife died. Not denying that he was one of the musicians that made real music about what he felt, but I think that towards the end he was just waiting to die.

"Hurt" still gets me to this day.
Yeah, I get what you mean.

Still, the circumstances of his rebirth aren't specified. :D
Zombie Johnny Cash would be the coolest Zombie dead today!
