In my Digital Imaging class, I am making a shirt, and on the comp making the image. The Image is of a Wanted Poster with Sackboy. Now I obviously didn't create Sackboy and so I added on the top "Sackboy is property of Sony and Media Molecule" then at the bottum "This shirt has no affliation with them."

Would that remove any legal problems..? (I would ask on the LBP forums but it won't load)

(I am not reselling it or anything, the only person who is going to wear the shirt is me.)

edit: Good to hear I don't need a disclaimer or anything.

Here is the image if interested (thought on the shirt it will be black and white)

Unless you resell it, you dont even have to put that on in the first place I dont think.

Im positive you wont need any sort of disclaimer info at all then. I mean, Sony aint gonna find you out and fuck you for wearing a fan made shirt right?

Then you have no problem:)
Copyright issues only applies when you attempt to make money on it.

You don't even need the disclaimer at all. Because it's a school project, you're protected under fair use. I had to deal with that a lot in college.

This. No disclaimer needed. Don't sell it and you can do whatever you want to with it. You could technically even hand them out for free.

If you do, I will take one.

That is absolutely 100% untrue. Monetary gain isn't actually considered in copyright - only the potential damage you could do to the the copyright holder's business.

The shirt isn't legal, but no one in their right mind would take legal action against a single shirt, either.

well good to hear, now I can continue with my project.
Well I'm pretty sure everyone so far is right but I'd say you could probably shoot an email to the Devs and/or their legal department about it. I would consider polite if you were using my content.
