And no, Cry games have never really impressed me. Crysis graphics are sweet. Farcry looked like a plastic island to me though and the gameplay of either didn't really catch on for me.

Maybe, but there's so many good looking games coming out this year i can't decide (seriously look up a games release schedule it's horrendous/beautiful).
I liked Far Cry, but felt upset when you reached the horrible indoor levels. However Far Cry 2 seems to be fixing this by removing indoor things and zombie monkeys leaving what appears to be combat where wit and strategy are valued highley. It's like the stand-up imrpov of FPS gaming. ^^

The big pickle with the other games was the mutants and aliens and that it aged very badly. They claim that this doesn't have a bullshit storyline and is going for a more realistic tone. The massive problem with crysis was that it was to much for most graphics cards to handle. Since this is also for the ps3 and xbox 360 that should not be a problem.Vortigar post=9.68388.627135 said:
Personally I think FarCry 2 will be better than Resistance 2 because I'd much rather have the ability to fight mercenaries in my Humvee while going gun ho with my M16 on one level and then fighting ninja style with a blowpipe on the next. One of the things that makes me really want Far Cry 2 is the ability (or atleast it says it has this ability) to do anything you're way. I love that choice in games. Admittedly, Crysis does require some serious optimisation for it to work on affordable hardware. The mod Cuban Ultima Doom Swords Custom Crysis Config does go along way to address this issue. Hopefully, crysis:warhead has been tuned to run efficiently.
